i know brandon sanderson has said that gay marriage is totally fine and accepted in vorinism, but that doesn't make sense to me with how stratified vorin gender norms are, so i sometimes prefer to imagine that jasnah legalized gay marriage when she became queen of alethkar and that's why drehy and dru are married as of wind and truth

my alternate headcanon on the topic is, gay marriage is legal and relatively normal in vorinism as per word of brandon, but people get weird about things like two men without any sisters marrying each other (like, you're both men and you want to marry each other? that's cool, i assume you have a sister/sister-in-law who'll read and write for you, right? right??)
