Now that Hytale is here, I'm reminiscing about these shark-inspired mob design ideas I sketched out five years ago.

Sea and Sky

Something possessed me and I was like "I must come up with in-world symbolism of colours from the perspective of the Overworld (so illagers and villagers).

zombies which look like the default player character. this has no lore implicatjons

skeletons. inexplicably they carry bows.

spiders that are two metres wide and hiss like snakes (imagine how fucking terrifying this would be in real life)

walking bush that wants nothing more than to explode while standin next to you. also theyre afraid of cats

three metre tall guy with social anxiety so bad they try to kill you if you look at them. also they can teleport

zombies 2: underwater edition

spiders again but now they poison you

they can mine everything with their fist including spawners and bedrock and every ore they mine drops at least 5 diamonds. they can teleport around and can't be muted kicked or banned from servers because they have admin powers in every server even if they don't have op. they can delete and mess around in the worlds of people they dont like but are very nice to their friends and can give them infinite item stacks and items that don't even exist in the game. they can also spawn mobs that have never existed in the game and they have a pet unicorn kitsune dragon who keeps them safe from everything

they can also build super cool and pretty things and mix slabs and place vertical slabs and floating water and lava. they instantly tame any mob theyre trying to tame and always get the enchantments they want
