Its often worth getting a second opinion! A customer brought this Macbook in to us that had been to another computer repair store on the Sunshine Coast. They had diagnosed it with a a faulty logic board - a part that is prohibitively expensive and typically doesn't get replaced except under warranty. Generally this diagnosis means you now own an expensive lump of useless metal. Our techs had a second look at it... and the plot thickened! The battery level indicator that plugs into the logic board was faulty and causing a short on the logic board. After it was unplugged it started and charged normally. The hard drive was also faulty. The customer opted to replace his drive with an upgraded solid state drive - more reliable and much faster. Customer happy as his very expensive notebook is still perfectly usable and should kick on for a few more years yet! We regularly give second opinions on advice provided by other computer repair places... and are more than happy to look at your machine! We work with both Mac and PC computers of all shapes and sizes. #macrepair #applerepair #macbookprorepair #logicboard #logicboardfailure #computerrepairs (at Total Microsystems)
