We feel for this kid :( Unfortunately he was having issues with his computer that could have possibly been resolved. However, his friend had a go at removing the processor and re-fitting it. In the process - bent a lot of the pins...some even at a complete 90 degree angle. Yes, bending the pins back could be attempted, but even if you managed to bend them back without breaking them, in our experience when they have been bent so badly - the processor is no good anymore. Unfortunately, we actually see this sort of scenario very regularly. Often people will have a friend assure them they know what they are doing and quite often they do more harm than good. We offer a 14 day labour warranty on ALL work we do. Plus our technicians are very experienced in disassembling computers of all types - so this type of thing simply does not happen in our workshop.
