Eating disorders are underdiagnosed in men; I have believed this to be true for some time. When I was in Krav Maga the guys around me would casually talk about restricting to like 20% of the calories someone their size should be eating and genuinely wouldn’t realize it was fucked up.

the fact that lots of people born into ostensibly the 'best' and most socially dominant position in a racist patriarchal society are still so fucked up they're starving and abusing themselves in order to feel better says something pretty significant about how fucked up things are and how much more help everyone here needs.
