I think itâd be so fun to do kwami swaps still, but especially when thereâs 5 of them like imagine ur team lead appears but sheâs in a different fit and a different one of u is in her fit like do you listen to your normal leader? The one with the ladybug miraculous? Why are they swapped? What happened? Do they know who each other are?
Idk I just think itâd be such a fun episode no matter who swapped with who, esp if marinette was one of the ones swapped

I think Iâd like to start the series with the class not knowing one another well, like they all know each others names but in the first season have them be like âoh I didnât know you like xâ or âhow do you know that?â Or like âI didnât know your birthday is todayâ
Just kind of show them staring to become friends rather than making them all start out as friends
I want this between Alya and marinette & nino and Adrien too, a little differently but they donât know everything about each other right out of the gate yanno
Iâm trying to figure out what to call butterfly!lila
Currently these are my options
Farfalla (good name except if you speak Italian in which case, it just means butterfly which is super basic and kinda stupid)
Falla (shortening of previous)
Hesperidae (category of butterfly common in Italy, risks implying that lila would do more than the bare minimum and research anything herself)
You know what I think an episode where the characters have to solve a Nancy drew esque mystery would be very fun
- it happens during the era of Lila having the butterfly
- I just want to show how well cn and lb work together and stuff
- theyâre both good at attention to detail
- Cn would be very good at noticing flaws in things that people say and in walls/paintings/etc to see hidden traps/doors/things
- Lb is very good at putting things together so she can solve puzzles and things like nobodyâs business
- Maybe the thing is that the kids were trying to make an escape room as a fundraiser at the school so theyâre there after hours, several of them get upset and run off then suddenly no one can get out of the school
- Ppl can get in but once theyâre in, theyâre stuck too and they cant call for help or anything
- The akuma is super subtle and is almost indistinguishable from before
- So they have to talk to everyone and sus out whoâs causing it while also solving puzzles and avoiding the traps that are set
- Prime identity shenanigans ideas too bc they need to do interviews of Everyone and that includes Marinette and Adrien (and also Lila)
- They spend awhile suspecting Lila bc half of what sheâs saying is lies but like also thatâs just how she always is
- You get to know the classmates a bit more too

Iâll be real with you here, I literally hate the trope where a nerdy character can give you exact percentages for how likely something is to happen because anyone who knows anything about statistics and probability knows that you cannot calculate that so specifically for the vast majority of cases
As such, I will be changing that in my au, he can still be smart and nerdy and stuff but at no point will I have him spouting off the probability of something happening
You guys are gonna be mad at me but at the end of my au, Iâm not gonna bring back Emilie
I know everyone wants happily ever after and stuff for everyone and since Adrienâs dad is gonna go to jail and stuff, you want him to at least have one parent left
But hear me out here
I want to have the lesson that hanging onto grief can be incredibly damaging to both you and the people around you and that you do have to accept people are gone sometimes but things will get better
Iâm not sure what direction I want to go with Nathalie actually
I definitely do not want to make her be in love with Gabriel but past that, Iâm not sure
On the one hand, I could make her the assistant who got herself in too deep and doesnât support Gabrielâs actions but canât stop him (or maybe wonât - give it a flip n have her in love with Emile) and cares for Adrien even if she canât show it much
I would leave her with some relatively small consequences here since she was still complicit in supervillainy but that she can get better n such
OR
I could make her Evil too and very supportive of Gabrielâs actions for her own reasons (maybe make it so sheâs gunning for control of his company and his distracted being a terrorist and sheâs been making good progress with his distraction)
This would have her be less sympathetic and much more likely to snitch on adrien n such
I would also make sure she feels the consequences at the end then
I know it may not seem like it since Iâm gonna give Chloe a redemption arc and leave Lila open for one at the end but I really do believe in consequences for actions
The difference between the situations with Chloe and Lila and with Gabriel has to do with 2 things: age and scale
Chloe and Lila start the series as 13 year olds, they make selfish choices because theyâre children and they do suffer consequences for their actions, getting in trouble with the school, Lila in trouble with her mom, and they both have intense distrust from their classmates and they wonât be forgiven by everyone
Also, the problems they cause are very small scale, by and large just in their own school
Yes Lila used the butterfly but nothing with physical damage or anything intensely mentally scarring
On the other hand, Gabriel is a grown adult and he causes extreme property destruction and psychological warfare on an entire city
As such, I want Gabriel to feel it when he loses, I want prison, not getting his wife back, his son hates him (both for restricting him at every turn/being a horrible parent and for being a terrorist), his company being shut down, the whole shebang
I think itâs important for kids to know that actions do have consequences and there are people who go too far and they donât get away with it
For my au, I wanna make sure to have an episode about future planning n show everyoneâs future plans, as well as how they arenât all sure and how thatâs fine
Marinette and Alya have very good ideas of what they want to do in the future (fashion and reporter respectively obvs), Nino has a few ideas but hasnât truly settled on anything (dj, director, smth else?) Adrien has no idea whatsoever what he wants to do, heâs never gotten to make a choice like that so he never considered it until someone asks if heâd want to continue modeling and he doesnât have anything to tell them, Chloe had a good idea of what she wanted to be and that was mayor just like her dad but then she slows down when she starts her redemption and begins to think about whether thatâs actually what she wants
Other characters are also in various stages of future planning like Nathaniel wants to be a comic writer, kitty section wants to be a band but Ivan also wants to help run a charity and Juleka wants to be a model but sheâd also settle for makeup artist, Rose doesnât really know what she wants to do otherwise, Sabrina doesnât know anymore now that sheâs cut ties with Chloe though all she had then was be Chloeâs second in command, mylene likes acting but doesnât think she can make a career out of it and otherwise wants to start a charity or otherwise work at one but doesnât know what kind, Alix likes rollerblading but doesnât know if she could go professional and also likes art but knows spray painting is looked down on, Kim wants to be a professional swimmer and wonât hear anything against that, max wants to be a programmer or a mathematician, Lila has given many different answers to the question and since she lies so often, thereâs no way to know if one is real or which it is

I definitely want to keep what I think the canon writers were trying to do with assigning the miraculi so I want each hero to have something to do with the powers that theyâre good at and one thing that they improve on throughout the series
Currently I have
Marinette
- Good at: creation
- bad at: good luck
Adrien
- good at: ? (Destruction???)
- bad at: bad luck?
Alya
- good at: attention to detail
- bad at: noticing lies (and or telling lies)
Nino
- good at: being protective of others
- bad at: standing up against things that are wrong
Chloe
- good at: ? Being able to delegate? Good at subjugation?
- bad at: hard work
Now, you may be able to tell that I have some uncertainty, with Chloe, then I know the bee is the miraculous of subjugation but Iâm not entirely sure I want to encourage that, especially for a show that I would theoretically target towards kids
Honestly, I want them all to be very good at the main point of their miraculous like marinette is good at creating things and Nino is good at protecting people (in this au, i donât mean in the canon show where he hasâŚ. limited screen time)
But, that leaves me in a bit of a pickle because I donât know how one can be specifically good at destruction, especially since destroying things is very easy; it also means that with Alya Iâm at something of a loss because illusion is not something easy to be good at either for different reasons, though maybe she would be good at selling lies but not good at noticing when someone else is telling them?
Much to consider
Iâm back because I have an idea for how Chloe can be good at subjugation, or more specifically how she is good a paralyzing people. We know Chloeâs mom is a total fashion icon, she is the devil who wears Prada right? What if you push how pretty Chloe is, and then she opens her mouth and youâre just stunned because she says some vile shit or whatever.
People donât fight with her cus sheâs so unreasonable and bratty itâs not worth the effort to convince her she is wrong, so she only thinks sheâs in control and correct. A queen only because it would be too annoying to dethrone her.
Which I know seems a little out of place for a kids show but there are people like that all over the world. Especially on the internet, and perhaps Chloeâs arc can be one where she learns to be better, she focuses in on her education and starts to weave words around people, cleverly defeating them rather than simply exhausting them.
She can serve both as a warning not to be like that, and a guide on how to change.
As for Adrien maybe he learns to be an editor? Drawing a similar line to God and Amara from supernatural? Destruction is integral to creation, after all sometimes you must make room for the new. If Marinette skill is creativity then itâs Adrien who makes sure she doesnât over do it mentally/emotionally/physically and with the art itself.
I think showing that Marinette and Adrien work well together would be good for the relationship and giving them more chemistry.

This could serve to compare Lila and Chloe as things go on, with one of them actively getting better and the other becoming worse and more of a threat as time goes on
Lila could even push Chloe to get better at words and such since by putting them in the same classroom and one of them trying to be better while the other more of a problem would naturally put them at odds with one another
Maybe start with having Chloe staying out of the completely since she made so many problems before, she thinks itâs better if she doesnât but she gets a little arc where she learns (from Marinette probably since sheâs the title character) that standing idly by as others do bad things isnât good (possibly also teaching adrien the same)
And for adrien, thatâs brilliant, he could be good at critique but doing it kindly and in a way that pushes people to get better rather than shutting down and discouraging them
So Iâm trying to think about how to make the butterfly more balanced, less connected to the peacock, and also how to give it a limit for kids
Thus far I have:
- itâs no longer attached to emotions (I know, let me explain)
- instead, it sets you in the mindset you were in when you become a champion/are akumatized, which would be good for someone if they wanted to help people since it would make them resistant to outside interference from others who want to manipulate or change whatâs being done; Lila and Gabriel realize that itâs easier to control people when youâre the helping hand at a time when someone is at their lowest (you can also predict what they want to a good extent)
- for kids, I was thinking that they could akumatize someone and that person has 5 minutes of powers but stays transformed and, say they can mind control people, the akuma can control to an extent those theyâve mind controlled but they canât take control of anyone new until nooroo is recharged and the holder is transformed again, where if they donât rescind the akuma, the 5 minute countdown starts again
- the butterfly canât mimic the powers of any other miraculous
- that being said, because it uses power from the holder and the champion, they do have more power than the average miraculous power
-(I think Iâll make it so that miraculous ladybug uses power from both the akuma and the holder to preform the repairs and return to before so it isnât so op itself but thatâs off topic)
- because it uses the power from both the holder and the champion, adults are more powerful as akumas than children
- this also means that people who were akumatized feel extremely drained afterwards since they donât have a miraculous bolstering them
Actually maybe Iâd let them mimic the powers of a miraculous but only a very watered down version
I know they use the Eiffel Tower bc itâs like a super well known landmark but they managed to use the Pont des Arts for the lock scene in Perfuma and the louvre once or twice but thereâs lots of places to see and such in Paris
My point here is that in my au I want an episode in the catacombs
Because my brain doesnât have any sort of order to it, Iâve decided some things about how I wanna write Tomâs parents
So Rolland was kinda a shitty husband (racist, controlling) so when Gina finally divorced him (I think Iâll set this as after Tom moved out) then she went all out decided to move to Italy, become a free spirit, and not listen to any critique on the way sheâs living her life bc then theyâre âtrying to control herâ even if itâs reasonable concern
Her episode is about how everyone makes choices and they can be good or bad but you canât deny or ignore consequences to what you do, even if you consider it the best option for you but there will likely be people who love you who are willing to try and bridge gaps you cause if you make an effort to make up for it
Rolland stayed in Paris as a (racist) grouch and in the episode heâs introduced, heâs not redeemed, the lesson of the episode is that you canât change everyoneâs minds and you need to consider whether or not you want to keep someone in your life even if theyâre family
For the overall storyline of Lila
Sheâs going to start as a minor character, just someone who doesnât get much focus, you hear her say things sometimes that later rewatching (or if you know sheâs the villain) donât quite add up
A lot of the villain attacks she gets caught up in but several times gets beneficial things come out of it
As things build up, she gets more attention in the episodes, especially after itâs revealed that sheâs the one creating akumas
She throws tantrums when sheâs foiled and often her plans donât work quite the way she wants, a lot of times with marinette benefitting by accident since sheâs a good person and does nice things consistently without need for reward
After she loses the butterfly miraculous, no one has evidence itâs her so after staying quiet for a bit to see if the guy who stole it from her would rat her out, she starts building up a following in the school
She says something at one point about ladybug that marinette knows isnât true but canât prove it since she canât say why she knows but it puts marinette on guard
Unfortunately, marinette is suffocating under her many responsibilities and canât spend time trying to disprove things Lila says but many of the lies are about things that arenât easy to prove or disprove
Eventually, when marinette learns to ask for help and prioritize, she starts being a louder voice against Lila which marks her as an enemy and Lila starts trying to undermine her and turn people against her
Itâs a slow build up over several episodes, maybe even a season, but it adds a lot of stress to marinette, even if none of the class turns truly mean to her, they do start to doubt her some
At some point in time, she does start latching herself onto adrien without his consent and part of the lesson in that episode is in part that guys can be harassed to and they donât deserve to be touched if they donât like to be (good lesson for kids of both genders)
At the end of the show, Lila ends up having lost all trust and credibility in her class but with a chance of getting and doing better since she is just a kid at the end of the day

Hereâs more in depth for how I want to go about redeeming Chloe
while sheâs a bully, I think I would generally do pretty small consequences like her being embarrassed for interfering with something
she is going end up losing all her friends while being a mean girl and start on the path of redemption,
Once she starts her redemption, sheâll still make mistakes and regressing sometimes but sheâll start trying to fix them and eventually sheâll get much better, not perfect but none of them are perfect
Not everyone will forgive her for things sheâs done but she can get better and try to fix things
Sheâll be well on her way into redemption when she gets a miraculous and it helps her even more because now she doesnât have her dadâs power to fall back on if someone disagrees with her or does something she doesnât like
I want her to become a hero and get better because I want to show that you donât need a sad backstory to be redeemable and get better and even if it takes work, itâs worth it, which I think could be a good lesson for kids
Credit where credit is due, Iâm actually quite glad that between the two main civilians the marinette has beef with, neither of them are due to adrien
Like he doesnât help matters but the main issues she had with Chloe are that sheâs a bully who likes insulting and tormenting everyone and the main issue with Lila is that sheâs lying to take advantage of all her friends
Itâs definitely a point that I want to keep in my au since Iâm so glad their disagreements arenât all over boys
