It was our last week living in San Diego, after 8 years of adventures and growing up as adults. San Diego had grown to become our second home and had become so familiar to us—so much so that we thought we’d live there permanently. Maybe the annual move from apartment to apartment was the tell-tale sign. 🤷🏻‍♂️ But as always, life takes you down unexpected paths that lead you to new places and experiences. Given how meaningful our time in San Diego was, I’m confident that there was no better way to close this chapter than to ask you to marry me just outside the place where we had our first dinner date. ☺️ Each of the ~7 years we’ve been together has brought everlasting memories, challenges that make us stronger, countless laughs, and good times. It was a no-brainer to propose to you and it just felt so right to take this next step. I know we’ll look back on our time in San Diego and cherish it, knowing we made the most of it. I’m ecstatic for our new chapter in LA moving forward, and I have no doubt that we’ll make new memories, challenges, laughs, and good times. In a way it’s a homecoming for us, but with a different feel given that we’re in a different stage of life now than the time we left.
