Second, Johns also exploit women and sex workers. You could argue Magnus was a John by logic of he paid for a companion who is clearly there under duress. Not sure why you all are so obsessed with this phrasing as being a win.
Yeah, I’m aware Daniel was mainly referring to the time period. But both the fandom and the crew behind the show have taken this one aspect of Louis’ character and assigned it as a forever label. Louis could do anything and he’ll still be called a pimp. He has shares in Lestat’s merch and now there’s review articles saying he’s a pimp whoring out Lestat. Just today you have people saying he’s pimping out Regina. Louis can take a breath and people will say he breathed pimply.
It’s the same result of Armand referring to him as a capitalist. Every single character on the show is a capitalist, but now Louis is The Only Capitalist Ever in both the fandom and within the show itself in how other characters refer to him. Once again he is singled out and branded with a forever label that only defines one aspect of his character.
