Unironically, though its one of my least favorite dragons in game, I LOVE drawing the Plumpcap now just because of how I do it. Idk why but it makes me happy 😭

Also In celebration of the lizard taming video from Branflakes Inc. finally coming out, (https://youtu.be/HkBvd7sLRfg?si=_dK7OXdBorlSXteY ) here’s some unfinished tamed lizard art ACTUALLY based on one of my expeditions!

Ive been drawing my cat and tamed lizards and unique positions based on actual gameplay and I’m definitely going to do one for every lizard! The video + Photo is what it’s based off!

I made her partly because Ive never seen someone make a hybrid of these or even a Goku Frieza Fusion that looks…uhh…

So I did it myself :D (this is Hybrid not Fusion tho. I mean it could be but, idk it doesn’t matter. I would make a Goza fusion someday!)

She has red eyes but not Arcosian red. Her eyes are more sayain like. Her ears are a mix between the soft thinner sayain ears and Arcosians cone like ones.

Shes missing her shoulder and forearm gems though this may vary for others of the same hybrid.

Har tail is long, strong, and very much on the Arcosian side.

Pretty sure you notices the thick layer of fur covering her entire body. Longer at the head, down the back, and at the tail tip. Aswell as where the biogems used to be. The soulder and the forearms.

The fur around the rest of her body is smoother. Shes not fluffy all over or anything. Think sealion or short haired dog not long haired dog on those spots.

This is technically an old OC\OC idea of mine that only lived in text UNTIL TODAY! Definitely gonna make my Actual OC this type of thing tho! (Sorta Like how @crimsonnoirart uses their OC yknow. I don’t mean the shipping but just the concept. Idk) BLBLBLhehjaj! Im just so EXITED :D!

To restate what was said in that post, this was a glitch and I dont know how it happened. But true love finds a way! The gemtail is Gersemi ❤️ and the flameskin is Varmfrosk 🧡

Gersemi is was more Cheerful and playful than Varmfrosk, who is a bit of a grump. But cant deny her affection. He likes it most of the time, and occasionally when shes a bit overbearing he'll tolerate it. He also tends to put on a grouch face even when feeling flustered.

He loves lying on her back to sunbathe as she gets real hot in the sun. But to be fair he also likes lying on her in the shade. Or wherever.

She likes licking his forehead even when it annoys him. Though playful and energetic especially around him, that doesn't mean she isn't protective. And he prefers it that way. He likes watching smaller dragons leave him be as the rockhard, sharp toothed, fierce looking (the brow ridges give gemtails natural angy eyes) gemtail stands over him. He'd be the type to give a smug look and say "go ahead" to whatever opponent If he could talk.

I think it's cute because a gemtail would be one that can resist the heat of a Flameskin. Shes perfect for him and hes perfect for her :D

Flameskins are about as big/slightly bigger than Giant Cane Toads in my art :>

Not much to say about this drawing in terms of liberties taken. Very cute. Softloft behavior derived from the dragonpedia entry on them.

I want to color this for the autumn color scheme. Next post will be colored Version! :D

I used my own headcanons scalings.

You probably notice that the baby fieldhoof doesn't look like the actual hatchlings in-game. I've decided that for the dragons I won't be taking the hatchling forms as too strict of a reference. They're mostly made for asset ease though there are some differences.

Anyway the great fieldhoof walks on its front wings. Its back legs are noticably shorter than its front limbs so it has a natural slope to its stance. It can stand upright and even walks a little on its hind legs thanks to its long thick stabilizing tail. Though it usally only does that to look intimidating, or fight with its front hoofs. Sometimes to reach higher shrubbery without flying.

Babies have spotted coats and short nubby antlers. Both male and female great fieldhoofs have antlers similar to reigndeer irl.

Notice that I have **barely** taken any liberties in it's design. (Not saying redesign is bad at all. I love seeing redesigns) But when someone asks me to draw a dragon I try to draw that dragon mostly as its shown without too much changes. The Fieldhoof has more design liberty then the plumpcap actually, but I did so because I read its entry in the dragonpedia. (I do this for every dragon I cover btw :3)

In the dragonpedia it said it was a grazer. And well, you can't very well graze without being able to walk. I'd be inefficient and use more energy if you had to flap or flail just to move forward a little. The fieldhoof only has hind legs in the game, and its only either flying or sitting. The wings reach the ground when sitting so I took inspiration from the monstrous nightmare and other two footed dragons, and short front legged dinosaurs.

I personally love this design and want to draw it more!

The main thing I did is add a mouth to the plumpcap, like I've done for every other dragon, which I don't take as changing design because the mouths aren't there simply for art style and the original game :>
