However, by the time I came back to the burger joint super late, like past closing hours, the place was surprisingly still open.

Staff were exhausted and sitting at random empty tables, discussing how they've never seen anything like this. Goku was still eating and the cook was still making new burgers with stock they had to bring in from another restaurant.

When I asked the cook why he was still doing this he said something along the lines of "at this point it's a question of pride, as he can't leave a patron hungry."

The never ending, Sisyphean task of cooking for an eldritch being with endless gluttony, with a childish smile plastered across its face was simultaneously horrifying and hilarious to me.
