Rage, Rage Against the Dying of the Light
Today they sent out a memo to all executive branch agencies today asking them to report anyone who's job recently changed to include anything DEI related. They gave them a grace period of 10 days, but after that, there may be "adverse consequences.
There were three real purposes to that, and none of them were to ensure clarity or total compliance:
1) To create a sense of paranoia and distrust amongst coworkers.
2) To get you used to telling on your neighbors and friends.
3) To let you know that harboring the "enemies" has consequences.
More and more, we're seeing laws pop up that require citizens to go after one another in order to execute the law. For example, Texas had an abortion law that allowed any private citizen to sue any doctor who'd given a woman an abortion. We're going to continue to see language like this and laws like this pop up, and I want you to pay VERY close attention to it, because it's got one very clear purpose.
This is a chapter straight out of a well-known playbook. There were too many citizens for the government to execute their genocide alone. They depended on citizens to tell on one another. They depended on their citizens wanting to save themselves enough to sell someone else out.
Do not let them divide us again. They are censoring our speech because we had finally found common ground. They are pitting us against one another because we were finally coming together. It's okay. This setback was always going to be a part of our story. Those who benefit from The System will rage against change before they go down. Remember who the real enemy is.
If ever the time comes where you are asked to tell on your neighbor, I urge you to resist the urge to save yourself at their expense. If our empire is going to fall, let our legacy be a people who went down together. If our empire is going to fall, let our legacy be one of bravery in the face of our own short-sightedness. Let us have the bravery to rage against the common enemy instead of one another.
