okay so. officially starting a ko-fi goal to help with moving costs (shipping my stuff, physically getting me there, covering a bit of rent) so i can live with my wife . goal is at $3k which i know is a lot to ask for help with but hopefully i shouldn't have to ask tumblr for help like this again barring some catastrophe

The Grammys didn’t create that “Best Asian Music” category this year to be diverse. They did it to continue boxing non English speaking artists but especially BTS, so they won’t have to nominate them in the main categories with the rest of their peers. This was the Grammys telling BTS they’ll give them a Grammy win but under their own boxed category. We give you the scraps and you are supposed to take them. They said no.

They’ve been doing this for years under the disguise of diversity. “Best Traditional Country Album” a new category introduced after Beyoncé won in the Best Country Album category because they couldn’t stand a non white artist redefining that genre. “Best African Music” being introduced in 2024 to keep Tyla away from other pop girls. And “Best Latin Song” being introduced for this year along with Best Asian Music after Bad Bunny right fully dominated all of the charts last year.

this is not life-threatening, but also who wants weeks of diarrhea and a fucking parasite in them lol. if you suspect you've already had this and it's passed, i would see a doctor. you might need an antiparasitic anyway. if you're actively sick, see a doctor and they might be able to prescribe medication to help you get over it faster.

try to avoid eating raw vegetables, scrub fruit with a produce brush and rinse thoroughly with water. again, don't bother with premade greens or bagged salads. if you buy lettuce, remove the outer 2-3 layers of leaves.

Only high temperatures will kill cyclospora. It resides in what is like a shell, which is highly resistant to water and most cleaning chemicals. The substance it uses to cling to food is so strong we don't even fully know what its limits are. It may be best to avoid fruits and veggies you can't cook. Scrubbing only works if done hard enough and on foods with no hiding places (Like cucumbers and grapes). Peeling the skin off is your best bet at avoiding it however, scrubbing is not guaranteed.

It is treatable by antibiotics such as sulfamethoxazole or trimethoprim unless you are allergic to sulfa drugs (or have other conditions) then treatment is by ciprofloxacin or nitazoxanide.

As usual, prevention is key:

Washing your hands with soap and water after using the bathroom and before, during and after food prep

Washing all food prep surfaces, dishes and utensils with hot water and soap after use

Thoroughly washing or peeling fresh fruits and veggies before eating them

Avoiding swimming if you have diarrhea, and waiting at least two weeks to swim after it goes away

hi it’s me again because everything hates me ! im a disabled and undiagnosed trans woman and my roommate is a trans system and we were kicked out of our previous home hours after finishing moving in because the homeowner found out we were trans. he currently has almost all of our possessions hostage in his home and we are staying in a shitty motel we rented with m0ney we borrowed from a friend. we have no family help and no one who can take us in, and we were just denied work after weeks of being led on by interviews and phone calls. we are continuing to look with everything we’ve got. the water here has lead in it so we have to buy water, and the stove releases fumes that make me feel nauseous and lightheaded when i turn it on, so we only have a microwave to cook in. this place is crummy but it has a/c and we need to stay here to avoid being out in the heatwave. please, please consider sharing the post or helping us out. we are trying so hard. thank you. links down there ⬇️
