i ordered a tappcar for boyfriend and I

tappcar came, I confirmed my name and the destination with him, he didn’t make eye contact or address me directly but like it was dark and car and whatever who knows

anyway boyfriend hadn’t said anything at this point

so why the fuck, when making small talk, did he ask specifically “How is your night, sir?” and refuse to address me?

anyway I responded with an edge to my voice “very well, thank you, yours?” and boyfriend thought this was great and gave me an ‘oh shit’ face. driver responded that he was well but again did not address me or look at me. that was the end of the conversation

then we got home and (slightly drunkenly) complained about the patriarchy for a bit and it was a good evening
