1. Climb Mount Kinabalu
The tallest mountain in South East Asia, the trail of Mt.Kinabalu is well organised with pathways and shelters can be climbed in a day if you are really fit and do not have too much time to spare. However, if you would rather enjoy the scenery and the nature’s bounty that this mountain has got to offer, plan for a 2 day/1 night hike, leading you to the summit at 4095 metres. FYI, the professional athletes compete in the climbathon, once a year, a gruelling race for which the record stands at 2 hrs and 43 mins.
2. Scuba diving at Sipadan Island
A diver’s paradise, definitely among the top diving spots in the world. You would be welcomed in the world of turtles, hammerhead sharks, whale sharks, manta rays and eagle rays. The daily permits to this island is restricted to 120, ensuring the island stays pristine.

3. Wild Orangutans & exotic wildlife
Wild orangutans can be seen at the Sepilok’s Orangutan Rehabilitation centre Borneo is one of two places in the world where they can still be seen. Besides the Orangutans, look out for proboscis monkeys, crocodiles, macaques and hornbills at the various parks in Borneo
