Hi there! I'm considering getting into cosplay but being a little younger than the norm and i understand that it'd be hard to start off, so I decided to do something small to see if cosplay is for me. I was looking at your TV Head tutorial, and that gave me some motivation to actually clean out my family storage unit and other cramped and unsearched areas. It turns out we had a eMac 2003 computer and I was trying to get some opinions on if it would even fit my head and stuff. Your opinion?
Seems like it could work! As long as you can cut a hole about 1"-2" larger than the circumference of your head into the bottom of the monitor, as well as safely gut the electronics from it and remove the screen, I think it’s worth a shot! Best of luck to you!
I can't believe I hadn't shared this picture from ACen 2016!! Princess Peach: Tiny Dangerous Photog: Vontography
how did you make your princess peach crown? I can't find any good tutorials
I didn’t make it, it’s by Perfect Tommy Automail on Etsy! The chest jewel for that cosplay is by him too. :)
I'm back!!
Hello, to those who've missed me! I'll be back on this account intermittently, as my adventures in becoming a small business owner/focusing on artwork have taken up much more of my time than expected. I'm MUCH more active on Instagram (@tiny_dangerous), but I'll be back here too!

For your computer monitor object head cosplay, did you buy your hollow shells online? Or locally? I'm trying to find a monitor but the only one we were able to get seems really big! And we have to hollow it ourselves. Thankfully we got it for free but yeah, where did you get yours? Maybe I'll have to find my local electronics recycling place lol.
This is all info I explained in my tutorial– I sourced my gutted monitor from a local electronic waste recycling center! Unless you live in my zip code, I’m afraid I have very little advice to give aside from keep searching locally and be persistent!
For the Object Head cosplay, is it okay to use a bike helmet instead of a hard helmet?
I don’t see why not? Go for it!
Progress is slow, but I just can't keep my mouth shut... I'm working on launching an Etsy shop, though it's in vacation mode until more of my planned stock arrives (namely my first enamel pin!) Either way, it's coming soon! 😋✨
how did you make those hooves? they look absolutely gorgeous!!
Thank you, but I didn’t make them. They’re from Chaos Creations!
I will very rarely make any of my own prosthetics, honestly. I don’t want to risk breaking one or both of my legs just because I wanted to make very dangerous footwear by myself. I always go to the pros when it’s risky!
This was requested literal months ago but i’ve finally gotten around to it!

Hey your Object Head tutorial was really helpful thank you! Just had a quick question tho, I was thinking of putting a face on the screen for a cosplay, but I'm worried about viability, is there a way I can print out the face and put it between the tint and the Plexiglas? Or just on the Plexiglas & tint? I would also like to make the tint white, but worried people might see me. I'm just not sure ;( The face doesn't cover the whole screen (Just to let you know its Pyrocynical's T.V. head) Thanks!
Aww, thank you! Super glad to hear that my tutorial has been helpful!
I think putting the design you’re planning to use between the tint and plexiglass would be a great idea! Getting it all to stay put while you apply the tint might be a little tricky, but I think this’ll be your best bet at maintaining good visibility! Regretfully white tint might make things VERY tough for you to see, so I'm not sure about that working out... Best of luck to you!
Reminder!!
If your ask is left unanswered for more than a week, I’ve likely chosen to delete it since it’s covered in my FAQ (which can be found at the top of this blog or googled if needed), or I’ve already answered the same question repeatedly.
Decided to host another object head meet-up at Anime Iowa this year! Last year was a blast, so here’s to round two!
Ahoy! Working on one of them there object head monitors with your tutorial. Just curious for the tinting did you use 5% VLT?
Well, I haven’t got the box for my tint anymore (SugarCubed was created ~2 years ago), but 5% VLT looks pretty dark!
I didn’t pay much attention to the tint specs, I just picked the darkest home window tint I could find. So, give that a shot!
“We will not run from here, Inquisitor.” MLZ Studios just completed a showcase video of my DA:I Cullen cosplay and it gives me life! I’ve watched it about forty times because I can’t figure out how he managed to make me look that cool. Cosplay Tip:
Figure out why you cosplay and what part(s) you enjoy, then focus on doing more of those things or having those kinds of experiences.
Love craftmanship? choose costumes that will challenge you and enter the contests. Love making friends through cosplay? Join cosplay groups or choose to cosplay from a recent series that everyone is talking about.
Shout out to the object head cuties I caught at ACen this weekend!! I know the one on the bottom left used my tutorial, but I didn’t get a chance to chat with the others!
