To any Susie or Terezi cosplayers out there: Popeye candy cigarettes are completely indistinguishable from sticks of chalk. If you're interested in pretending to eat chalk while on the con floor (as some Mouthwashing cosplayers do with their Dragonbreath) then you've got a good option right in front of you.
If you want to dye the chalk sticks red, put a bit of food colouring and water in a mister/sprayer (don't use too much or they'll melt) and leave them to dry out for a bit.

Tutorial on how I proportion cosplays on my very short body!
cosplay/costuming/fabric dying help:
i’m trying to hand dye some white fabric with striping to replicate the cats musical production costumes, but i’m having trouble with the dye staining and making the whole white base look dingy/beige when i rinse it out before washing. it also didn’t take as vividly as i wanted it to and the whole thing is really low-contrast and washed out looking. i used undiluted rit dye (not for synthetics, which could be the vividness problem) on 85% nylon 15% spandex fabric, applied directly in stripes with a fine tip bottle. the dye sat on the fabric drying for about 24 hrs before ironing to help heat set the dye and then thoroughly rinsing out and washing in cold water.
any suggestions would be great!
Dose anyone have good gray body paint recommendations for cosplay because i DO NOT want to be one of those homestuck cosplayers that gets gray everywhere but me and my hg want to cosplay Vriska and Terezi
Edit: it’s usually at least 100° every day in the summer where I live so I feel like I’ll overheated in a body suit so I need paint/setting spay that won’t melt.
