Also when I see the photos of Sid scrunching up his toes in the locker room, as a ballet dancer this instinctively makes a lot of sense to me. We do that to help stretch out the joints in our toes to get them flexible before putting on pointe shoes, and I would also do it afterwards to help them decompress after dancing. I have no idea if toe flexibility helps with ice skating at all, but when I see it I'm so happy! Maybe Sid could have been a dancer in another life! 😂🩰

Thank you so much for your insight on this. I’ve always assumed that he does do that to stretch his toes after taking his skates off! He probably does do it to help them decompress after being in his skates.
