Skewed pathways perspectives. The alpine vegetation from afar looks like dappled paint, and creates distinct lines that distort the view. Snowy Mountains, NSW

Definitely fits in with the minimal trend of the day. This one captures the sparse alpine landscapes of the Snow Mountains in summer. It looks static, but we were slicing through 100 km/h winds and sporadic, stroppy rainstorms. We could barely talk to each other over the buffeting wind in our hoods. Made us feel like little warriors though. Good times.

Fucking beautiful scapes from the Snowy Mountains, NSW. Light dancing around the hilltops in an eery haze. Love the rich silhouette in the foreground and the soft hills contrasting the rugged cloudscape. We went down for an overnighter, camped out atop Mt. Mueller and witnessed some seriously spectacular scenery, breaks in between the gale force winds, spots of rain and sparsity of the landscape. Let’s do it again.

Witnessing Californian wildfire first hand- I took this snap on our way back from Yosemite back in July. We spotted the smoke from miles out, and passed within a few hundred metres of the blaze right beside Highway 120. I jumped out of the van to get a closer look, grabbing some shots as fire engines and aerial support came in to contain the blaze.
