redesigns (kinda) of the girls in a comic i made called la vie en rose from 2018, hope to one day do more with them! also make art of them actually hanging out

I participated in the 23 Heures de la BD this year (it was my first year) and this is the comic I made for it!

thanks so much for asking!! it means a lot that you’d ask me (although i’m sure i’m probably not as qualified to give advice on this as other people;;)

inspiration comes mainly from my imagination - i have a lot of stories i’d like to tell and very little motivation to draw them in full, but OCs and fan characters are really good for getting the creative drive into my system! it usually starts out as just as an idea that i think of in my head. otherwise, character inspiration can come from all sorts of places, like : 

- generators (timey, who was generated from this)

- objects or things that i own that inspire me (anna and felicity, who were based off my american girl dolls - i also have polly pocket dolls that i’ve been meaning to draw as well)

- challenges or prompts (two of my characters not posted yet, adam nede and annie, are inspired by writing-prompt-s on tumblr!)

- real - life people ( like from this website, which generates faces that might be slightly off sometimes...)

-i try to include a character flaw and character strength in every character - sometimes i find one that i want to use that ends up being a new character!

- dreams! dreams are very good sources of inspiration, and writing them down is a good way to find a character.
