i get this question all the time. here are some tips
✨ commit yourself to working at least ten minutes a day.
now you might say, “adrienne that’s not a lot of minutes”, and you would be right. but it’s not about working only ten minutes. it’s about actually getting yourself started.
starting to work is hard. who wants to work on anything?? so give yourself a small goal. ten minutes. that’s easy. and then, most of the time, you’ll find out that you do want to keep working longer than ten minutes…!!! and so you work for longer. and you are doing it. and you’re happy.
and some days, you might really just work ten minutes. and that’s great, because you’re ten minutes farther than you were before
✨ give yourself constraints.
sometimes your idea or project might seem really big. there’s so different ways this could go! the vastness is scary!!! what should you do?!?!
and the answer is to give yourself some constraints. some rules to follow. maybe a run of your game can only be 5 minutes long. maybe you can only make sound effects with paper and nothing else. or maybe. your game can only be in black and white
and from those constraints, 1: you’ll feel like you have a path to follow, and 2: your project might??? usually be cooler??? because you’re trying something new!!! you’re doing something weird!!! you gave yourself a weird challenger or theme, and you’re building on top of it!!! maybe the whole world in your game sees in black and white. what does that mean about your world. wow
✨ show your friends
working on something in your corner might be fun. but sometimes it’s a bummer. and you might need some feedback, or at least some compliments…!!! then show it to your friends. there’s nothing better than getting excited about you and your friends’ projects
✨ never give up. unless you want to

Jello Plays Games- THE isat playthrough. Y’all know the jello streams. Great voice acting and funny bits, top tier isat playthrough. I’m actually in the middle of rewatching these rn hehe.
4 Hit Combo- Was a while ago so I don’t remember much about this playthrough but, I remember having a great time watching it, I do also remember it being a pretty long playthrough though lol.
Asterkatt- Absolutely loved this one!! Again it’s been a while, but I remember enjoying seeing them get attached to the characters. Always love to see that!!
Garden Grove- Also don’t remember a lot about this one but I do remember them having a running bit about this Mira sprite (seen below) looking like she was riding a go-kart LMAO
ShortOneGaming- Pretty good playthrough, was interesting to see someone who had already played Start Again before doing their isat playthrough. A bit bummed they missed all the conversations with the party at the end of the game tho.
Decidedly Distracted- Another good one, they figured out the twohats twist REALLY early so it was funny seeing all the foreshadowing become points of evidence lmao, the only gripe I have is that they use the wrong pronouns for Loop and Bonnie almost the entire playthrough… it probably wasn’t on purpose but it does last like, the whole time.
Phisnom- The first one of these that I attended live :D he did one part like a year ago and then dropped it for a WHILE before he came back and finished it recently!! I had a blast attending but the superchats were SUPER backseating, but then like mid act-4 he just PULLS OUT THE WIKI AND DOES ALL THE SIDEQUESTS LMFAO. He also had some pretty valid criticisms about Act 3’s length which I had never considered because, as this entire post has probably proved, I’m probably physically incapable of getting tired of this game LMAO, great playthrough all around. (didn’t have a playlist to link so I made one~)
JoyKirbs- One of my favorite playthroughs oat actually. Genuinely up there with the Jello streams imo. They did a great job voicing sif, did funny bits, and got REALLY emotionally attached to Siffrin which, as previously stated, I LOVE TO SEE. it was so fun to watch them go “things can’t possibly get any worse!” and then watch things get SO MUCH WORSE. Had a great time watching these vods!!!
The one I didn’t finish was evidentlyfresh’s because I got distracted by something else and forgot to get back to it, I’ll update this post with my thoughts whenever I finish it but I remember enjoying what I watched. :D
So yeah I’d def recommend checking any of these out!! :>
