This is an accessible game designed for both visually impaired and sighted players.

6. TILT: Blind-friendly Maze

This is a sensor puzzle game in which the players use their phone's screen rotation to move a marker around a 3×3 grid and reach the target cells before time runs out.

What did playtesting tell me? - 1.

My original maze was too complex for a tutorial level 1 maze. Playtesting showed that players struggled to reach the goal, so I simplified Level 1 to improve navigation, accessibility, and gameplay and make it more of a tutorial level.

Behind The Scenes - Level 2:

This is the second level of Through the Darkness. It was designed as the first true challenge of the game as it introduces limited flares which encourages players to be careful of their use of the flare mechanic, therefore increasing the difficulty. In terms of difficulty though, I’d say this is the easy level, as it is less hard compared to the bother two levels, but hard compared to the tutorial level. Apologies if the maze in the image, as some details may be difficult to see.

Behind The Scenes 1 - Level 1.

Level 1 is a simple tutorial maze, designed to help players get to know the mechanics of the game.

I used Unlit mode to design this level and the other 4 levels, as unlit mode is regularly used to design areas that would normally be in the dark. And for a game like through the darkness, this tool was necessary in the level designing.
