In addition to Ayla’s ongoing health struggles, she now has to worry about rats and insects. Recently Gaza has become overwhelmed by vermin, which carry diseases and will even bite or eat human flesh. Unfortunately, the only solution available to families is to deploy pesticides around the living space. However, pesticides are difficult to obtain and therefore very expensive in Gaza, about $850 usd for the amount Ayla’s mother Bshaer needs for their living space. Bshaer needs your help to procure this unfortunate but very necessary item, as the only alternative is the increased likelihood of bites and diseases.

There has been no progress on their campaign in several days, and on top of this expense, they still need to treat Ayla gastroenteritis. They are in a really, really tough place right now and they need your help!

I used to live in my grandfather’s house — a small home filled with my mother’s voice and my sister’s laughter.

But in one moment… everything disappeared.

A missile hit us, and in its cruel silence, it took away my mother and my sister.

I didn’t get to say goodbye… I just stood staring at the rubble, wondering if I was dreaming. 🕊️💔

Now I live with my younger siblings, trying to survive the aftermath. 🧱

personally, i'm looking for someone to dye my hair copper or ginger for the summer. when i was @abdalsalam2000 nader's age, all i thought about was dyeing my hair halsey teal, watching the walking dead and hannibal, and worrying about upcoming college application season. i think about nader a lot. i don't have siblings but i see him as one of my many "adopted" siblings in gaza. i wish he were having the same teenage years that i had, actually i wish he were having better teenage years than i had. lately, nader's messages to me have grown more frantic, attacks on gaza have intensified with no real signs of slowing. he seems more desperate and defeated than i've ever seen him and he doesn't deserve to feel that way. he has been working so incredibly hard to keep his family afloat during this genocide and that's such a horrid weight to put on a kid's shoulders, if i were in his place i would break but i think he knows that he can't, not yet, not yet. there is still time to get what he needs, to evacuate his family, to save all of their lives by any means
