Tentei-sama's seiyuu turning out to be a huge Jin oshi is such an amusing revelation. ꉂ🤣𐤔
I don't usually get a lot of asks so I took my time with them. (´・ω・`)
Sorry if my answers feel lackluster. I appreciate everyone who are kind enough to want to hear my thoughts on things. 🙂↕️
I had forgotten about this info, but do general students have artifacts too? Or can they have artifacts of their own?
Hello, Anon! Yes, general students are allowed to wield special artifacts! In fact, it's encouraged that they do.
There are two types of artifacts known to us: special artifacts and common artifacts.
The Man Who Grants Wishes - Chapter 5
Cosmic Connection - Chapter 39
Special artifacts are powerful artifacts that's heavily regulated via a strict licensing system. License lasts for a year and you can choose to either renew it or apply for a different one at the start of every academic year. This licensing system only allow a student to possess one special artifact at a time.
Special artifacts are unique in a way that they kind of choose who gets go wield them. As such, they only functions properly on the hands of their wielder. There are tons of special artifacts in Darkwick's possession so by lending them to students via this licensing system, it's a way for Darkwick to ensure that the special artifacts are maintained regularly in other words they want free labour.
The Man Who Grants Wishes - Chapter 40
Common artifacts are, as their name suggest, common artifacts that students can bring into their missions in addition to their special artifacts. Unlike special artifacts, common artifacts can be handled by anyone who wields them. Examples include the Skeleton Key and Mesmer Matches.
Even though they're called common, there are still levels to them and some still need special permission to be used and brought for missions.
what do you think about taiga's new year voiceline (year 2) "(yawn) Oh, you're still alive. Huh? Oh, my first dream of the year was you dying. Gyahaha!" ?
Do you think it may be related to his stigma, and the specific death he dreamed about is a possible future?
Hello, Anon! Well, the possibility is never zero! After all, some of the possible endings of Deadly in Love (which pretty obviously an allegory for Tokyo Debunker's narrative) involved the Goddess dying.
We know that when Taiga uses his stigma, it will mess with his head and memories so it's possible those foresights affect his dreams as well.

tbh i just want everything to be centered around Toku cause she's such a dear girl
Hello, Anon! Yes! I agree! Everything centers around Toku, RIGHT NOW!
If Toku gets a character development arc, would you personally support it or be against it?
I think it will be good if she gets one :b, but honestly I expect nothing from the writer..
Hello, Anon! I'll 1000% support it, there's no reason for me to not to? I've always seen MC as her own character instead of simply a vessel players can project themself into so of course I'll be happy if she got treated as such and has moments where she can shine.
I can understand your pessimism, though. Being a joseimuke game in nature, Tokyo Debunker kind of have to balance things if they want to achieve as much profit as possible. They have to balance pandering to people who see MC as her own character VS people who see MC as self insert or people who likes ghoul x MC interactions VS people who likes ghoul x ghoul interactions. They also need to decide on how much screentime she gets because there are fans who think more screentime for MC = less screentime for their favorite boys.
But I'd also argue that Tokyo Debunker's decision wrt how they present the MC is already more than enough proof that they put plenty of thoughts about her as a standalone character. But if you think that's still putting too much faith on the writers then, well... It's probably better to just set your expectations as low as possible?
As a Toku lover to another, may I ask what you think is the dynamics the ghouls have with/towards her ? Like how they view her or smt? Idk if what I asked is even understandable (if it isn't, I'm sorry, english isn't my first langage).
I feel like each ghoul cares about her in their own way, some more obvious than others, so I'd like your opinion on it since I love the way you interpret thing and how you can read their interactions (if that makes any sense lol).
I just love to read anything Toku-centered tbh !
Hello, Anon! Don't worry, your English is fine! If it makes you feel better, English isn't my native language either so there's nothing to feel insecure about. ^^
I'd say I love the interpretation that MC is meant to be the bridge between human and anomalies. She's a human but due to her conditions, she's much closer to anomalies than a regular human. This sense of kinship is probably what makes the ghouls have easier time opening their hearts to her. MC being empathetic and a natural anomaly charmer is also a boost, heheh.
Ghouls are feared for the reason that they hold immense power and they got ostracized further after the events leading to the Clash. This is where MC will play a big role. Remember how back in the immortal anomaly case MC was the one who begged the general students to listen to Yuri and plead Yuri to humble himself to ask for their help? I feel like that's supposed to be her "real task" at Darkwick. MC understands humans' fear for anomalies but she also know just how unfair ghouls are treated for simply being an anomaly. It's a bit unfortunate we don't get more scenes like that later. 😔
Umm, anyways! I'm getting off topic... To answer your question shortly, I think the ghouls view MC as their 理解者 (confidant/ally) in a place that constantly ostracized them. Those feelings grew into fullblown romantic affections for some but in general, I think the ghouls are fond of MC. Even Leo, who shows his affections in a rather... unorthodox way.
can i ask whats your take on the tree only towa and toku can see ? it can make sens for towa to see it since im sure he isn't a human ghoul, but how could mc, who is supposed to be a regular civilian, be able to see it? Especially since ed, another non-human ghhoul, can't see it.
idk if its a side effect of the sage ring, or if our toku is just that special <3
Hello, Anon! Well, Towa said MC is special so I guess that's how it is!
Joking aside, it might be that the tree can choose who is allowed to see it and they just happened to pick Towa and MC. Why? No one knows for sure, for now.
We know that the tree is somehow directly related to the ghouls' bond with each other. The yellow fruit grows when the Vagastrom ghouls strengthen their bond, the blue fruit withered when Kaito died, etc. So I guess it's kind of natural that MC, who is tasked with supporting the ghouls, is able to see the tree? Also, after getting cursed MC's nature became a lot closer to that of the ghouls' than she do with regular civilians' so there's that too.
Hello ! I'd like to ask you about your opinion on a moment in s1 ep 24.
It's when Elias tells Toku "To avoid this fate (referring to the tragedy, i think), you needed to know the truth". Do you think that it implies that Toku is the champion, since she is kind of "linked" to the prophecy, in a way (since her knowing the truth could prevent the tragedy from happening according to Elias)?
I've been thinking, but I feel like the "truth" is so broad. Do you think it refers to her curse, the clash, the prophecy?
Hello, Anon! Honestly, I'm just as lost as you are. Elias's words were so ominous and as we are now, we don't have much on our hands to go by.
Yeah, a lot of things hint that the "Champion" in the kudan prophecy isn't necessarily the ghouls but can also refer to MC. Maybe it's both. There are many possible interpretations.
I think we're not supposed to know yet so really, you shouldn't be beating up yourself for being confused. Tokyo Debunker is a slow burn story. They'll sprinkle hints here and there but ultimately sometimes you wouldn't realize what's happening until they put it in your face. Speculating is fun but if I think the stuffs I'm trying to figure out doesn't have enough materials to go by, I tend to just sit back, enjoy the ride, and wait until they throw us more crumbs.

sorry if you've already answered this before, but what's your take on MC's curse ? Especially the moment in ep 21 or 22 (i think) where it was theorized that the kyklos refered to MC as "the queen" when talking to who-knows-who.
For me, I feel like it shows that Toku wasn't cursed at random, and that it was intentionnal for the victim to be her specifically.
Sorry for my english, and thanks!
Hello, Anon! Honestly it's quite hard to say for now. I'm with you on thinking that MC wasn't just an unlucky victim and that she was specifically targeted but, "Why?" is still a big mystery. There are too many unknown variables. For now we only had to be patient and step forward little by little.
Your English is fine! Thank you for taking the time to sent me this ask! 🙂↕️
Shion always become a little stunned and brushed her off whenever MC expresses concern for him.
What if Shion dislikes being shown concern because it reminds him of Haru?
You know how Haru can be fussy... And I can imagine that being a big factor on why Towa is so attached to him (Shion too in the past).
If Shion thinks MC is acting "like Haru" (by being generally caring), I wonder if it'll make him fears that MC will leave him too?
I wanna see MC forgetting to turn off her Kaworu Mode and accidentally calling Jin "Princess". Jin acts like he doesn't give a fuck but his heart actually skipped a beat.
What a fucking loser lmaoooo
OK, so........
Sympathizers: Frostheim (Leader), Clementia
Dissidents: Ultio (Leader), Vagastrom, Hotarubi, Mortkranken
Neutral: Obscuary
Unclear: Jabberwock, Sinostra, Dionysia (Dissident leaning)
Ahh... People forgot that Dante literally only came to teach at Darkwick since the current academic year, huh? 😅 He wasn't there during Clash. Dante being a new addition to Darkwick staffs is also the reason why Leo is so hung up on uncovering what his deal is.
Too lazy to check on Episode 2 again to confirm but here's from Leo's Affinity 6 chats:
Dante also wasn't present during the post-Clash staffs meeting so there's that too.

hi, if you don't mind me asking. Can you explain more about Ultio house? I just get into the game and interested but it's a bit hard trying to search for their info 😓
Hello, Anon! Unfortunately, Ultio is just as mysterious as it is for you as it is to us old players. 😅 You can't find information on them because, well, there are not much information about them in the first place.
You said you're new, right? I can list a few things about Ultio that we already know but it will have spoilers up to the sixth episode of Season 2 so please only proceed on your own discretion!
@sonia-kate
Speculations on where Ultio stands.
Shiki being an Ultio ghoul.
Again, thank you for tagging me! As I mentioned, I checked the Haku and Rui flashback from Who Killed Robin? Pt.2 so I'll drop some screenshots here. Look out for spoilers!
So yeah, here we have that Haku wasn't in direct contact with Shiki and used Rui as a middle man. Since we know Haku was in Clementia, it means Shiki was in the only remaining house - Ultio
Here we have Haku and Rui discussing the state of Clementia's dorm. Haku says that "those dissidents sure don't pull any punches" which implies that Clementia was thrashed by the dissidents, which would imply they were loyalists
As mentioned before, Ultio and Clementia can't be on the same side. OP's original speculation used the fact that Ultio was in charge of containment facilities, which is valid, but then again, it all started with Ultio general student getting killed, so I imagine that was the turning point for Ultio, when they decided that maybe the way Darkwick and the Institute are running things isn't so good after all and that's why they rebelled. Also, would explain why they were shut down (wonder why Clementia was shut down, though, if they were loyalists. Dionysia was shut down, because the ghouls attempted to desert iirc)
Another point was that dissidents are usually against how the Institute treats the anomalies, which sure is true for Hotarubi and most likely the reason why they joined the dissidents, BUT another one of the confirmed dissident houses is Mortkranken and I don't think they mind that much, especially given how they keep that mermaid of their... with that, I think the main factor remains being pro- or anti-Institute/Darkwick, with Hotarubi being pro-anomalies just being a reason why they're anti-Darkwick
So yeah, I think Ultio was on the dissidents' side. Of course, it's all still a speculation, so if I got something wrong or you have some new evidence or counter-evidence, please, correct me
Need to re-read again to confirm but Frostheimers aren't allowed to mingle with Vagastrom students because they're Dissidents but iirc, Kaito wasn't as opposed to visiting Hotarubi (when they're investigating the demon arm) as when he realized they'd have to ask around Vagastrom students一even though Hotarubi is also Dissident. Is this because Haku (former Frostheimer) is there? 🤔 Or is it because Jin and Tohma don't think Hotarubi is "threatening" enough?
In Season 2, we found out that Frostheimers aren't allowed to be buddy-buddy with Dionysia either which implies that Dionysia might be more Dissident-aligned?
Or is this ban is less about Sympathizer-Dissident and more about not allowing Frostheimers from interacting with people from houses that might threaten Frostheim's position in Darkwick? Because we all know how big of a difference it is when Dionysia is reinstated VS when it's not.
Hmm.......
