Whenever I’m at work and women ask me fitness questions I always tell them “lift weights”. Like seriously, lift weights. Get in there and start lifting heavy (obviously work your way up to it, don’t start off loading that bar with plates lol), calculate your macros so you’re consuming enough protein to fuel your workouts, YouTube lifting videos and get in front of a mirror so you can clock your form, and don’t give a damn what anyone thinks. One of the female powerlifters at my old gym once told me “I always hear ‘I wanna lose weight’ or whatever but the focus should be on getting stronger. When you focus on increasing strength and endurance, you’ll ultimately adjust how you eat in order to properly fuel your workouts, you’ll feel better, your body will be better for it, and you’ll achieve whatever fitness goals you have. Always aim to get stronger.”
