Inspired by other this-is-blogs such as @thisisexorsexism, @this-is-xenophobia, @this-is-saneism, and the original this is linguicism blog, which unfortunately is gone, i am not the mod of the first this is linguicism blog.
Linguicism is the discrimination, marginalisation, or maltreatment of a person based off of the language they speak. Some examples include the suppression of native languages in the Americas and the suppression of Welsh and Irish in the British Isles. It often intersects with racism and xenophobia and i shall @ this-is blogs that cover that topic (if they exist) when applicable.
