I don’t actually think AI itself is lame.

But I wholeheartedly believe it is lame when corporations use it to cut corners, replace people, or squeeze profit instead of valuing human creativity.

AI taking jobs is lame. AI being unleashed without any limits or thought for its impact is lame.

But AI as a tool? For me, it’s been more like someone cast Enhance Ability.. something that helps me shape ideas I wouldn’t otherwise have been able to bring to life without years of trial, error, and failure.

All that being said.. I know intention vs impact is real, and it would be a cop-out to say “we don’t intend to take business away from anyone.” But truthfully, that’s not our goal. We’re just trying to make fun merch that resonates with people and their adventures.

If someone picks up a sticker or a journal and it sparks joy at their table, then that feels worth it.

Finally, I really, really appreciated what you said about preferring even “bad” art that’s mine over something generated. That hit.

I pulled out some graphing paper not too long ago and started sketching (very basic) embroidery ideas for DnD class shirts. They’re simple, but they’re mine.

Life is shifting in an exciting direction for us right now. We’re leaving full-time jobs and starting a 2000-mile backpacking journey.

I could bring a sketchbook with me on the trail (if I don't choose a much heavier Sanderson read) for downtime.

So who knows? Maybe the next round of designs will be hand sketches or whatever doodles I manage to scrawl by firelight.

So I was flipping through my big Art of LOTR coffee table book (you know, Tolkien’s dreamy watercolor maps & sketches 🥹) and thought…

“what if we mashed that vibe with D&D classes + Forgotten Realms?”

Here’s a peek at the first three:

🌑 Warlock × Luskan — the pirate city of whispers and pacts, with the crooked Hosttower looming over misty docks.

🎶 Bard × Silverymoon — the Gem of the North, all moonlit bridges shaped like harps and towers glowing with song and spell.

🪓 Barbarian × Spine of the World — jagged snow peaks where only rage and raw survival keep you alive.

It’s Tolkien sketchbook meets Faerûn lore, and honestly I’m feral for how these turned out.

(Honestly, mad at myself for only making three)

We all know Paladins are the friends who carry everyone else’s bags, read the quest notes out loud because nobody else was paying attention, and somehow manage to be both team mom and team executioner at the same time. Loyal AF, dramatic AF, and honestly? We love them for it.

So here’s their shiny moment:

Oath of Devotion – The golden retriever of holy oaths. Pure vibes, radiant damage, and that one friend who always brings snacks for the party.

Oath of Vengeance – “Don’t touch my friends or I will smite you into next campaign.” Big anime revenge arc energy.

Oath of Conquest – For when your Paladin said “actually… villain arc.” Scary, hot, and definitely the reason your DM had to rebalance the encounter.

Paladins, this one’s for you. Stick ‘em on your water bottle, dice box, or shield—wherever you need a reminder that loyalty can, in fact, come with very sharp edges.

The tavern doors slam open. The crowd goes quiet. A mug shatters. And then... four Barbarians stomp onto the floor like the absolute chaos gremlins they are.
