I was curious about these claims that Trump mocked a disabled journalist and I stumbled across this video comparison. I didn’t see them the first time they rolled around, but I found this comparison.

I think the claims that he mocked the disabled journalist for being disabled have been exaggerated since he used the same gestures numerous times in previous instances where the people he discussed weren’t disabled. It’s his regular mannerism for expressing the confusion of others, not a mockery of the disabled.

Also, Fox News doing its job properly for once, count me surprised.

Privilege is kind of like luck. It’s what you make of it.

Also: the most (arguably) powerful man in the country may be black, but congress is roughly 80% white and 80% male. The supreme court has one person that is black that I know of. Most governors are white. Most mayors are white.

Even in the private sector, you are more likely to be advanced and be recognized for your work if you are a white person, and especially if you are male.

It is concerning because it means a country in which this becomes a definite term, aiming against people with a certain skin tone, has an overly racist society.

Which of those two events is fresher in people’s collective memory? How many people with internet access are going to hear “-gate” and think:

“Oh, that thing that happened several decades before I was born?”

Either they deliberately made a joke at the expense of people who would probably buy a Mario game to escape that shit for a while, or they’re the most tone-deaf bunch of idiots in the entire video game industry.

And that the Baltics are center-stage of European military tension, with NATO facing off against an expansionist Russia.  And on top of that, Greece is a tire fire at the moment, with neo-nazis literally are rising into power.  The region is objectively better than Syria, but it is by no measure a good place to be, and it’s fully possible that place can erupt in war in the next couple of years as well.

So they’re going to countries that aren’t immediately in the grip of that.  They’re moving to, frankly, better countries, because they’re better and good places to be.

However, it’s also true that Eastern and Southeastern Europe are not places you willingly go to if you’re looking for a better life. These are not accepting or open-minded countries, they’re not wealthy, they don’t have a good healthcare or education system, they’re not helpful or organized. No one would willingly stay in Bulgaria or Romania when they could go to Germany or Austria. They want to go to wealthy countries precisely because they’re “poor refugees”. 

So then we have these problems here and to be honest this is what a lot of people have feared would happen - because our government and judicial system is a joke. Punishment for crimes like beating someone to death, stabbing, etc. are ridiculous sentences. There is always that search for excuses as to why someone cannot behave like a decent human being. So if for the nth time a criminal fuckwit has been caught doing stupid stuff, and is still running free - how would illegal criminal immigrants even get the idea to better not try their nonsense in our country if they get away with it? They do because they can. Sadly. And people being labelled as racists for criticizing these fuck ups of our government will at some point move away from trusting either media or politicians. This is how Pegida rose and why the AFD (Alternative für Deutschland or Alternative for Germany) is gaining more and more people voting for them.

These poor refugees that did nothing wrong have to suffer from the results among the citizens that also suffer from it. A friend of mine once has had the experience in a bus back home when some African idiot demanded money. This guy was obviously an illegal immigrant, yelling “Nazi” at everyone in the bus. Actual African refugees who also took the bus back home stood up, grabbed that guy and yelled at him to find work, to stop being an idiot and to respect every German citizen in the country and throwing him out of the bus. These refugees have been living here since 2012 and found a job. So my point is - if no one does differ between refugees and illegal immigrants the problems will increase and we will have a civil war at some point.

So I have to wonder - what the hell is wrong with all of these people that do not want to see the problem in it’s bigger picture? They are everywhere, in media, politics (left wing and right wing) and among the citizens in every possible group. When all of these groups yell at each other while not making a difference between illegal immigrants and refugees it will just become a hollow debate. Because the true problem will meanwhile continue to grow. The criminal foreigners will continue to terrorize the people, the extremists of left and right will have an open space to do whatever they want to do, the extremists of religious groups will have a free playground for their nonsense too. And who suffers? We do. We who make the difference between those seeking help and those criminals following them across the border. We suffer from being in the middle attacked by everyone who is too stupid to see the issue.

Those who do not notice that they made a difference and having enough of being mistreated will at some point join one of these extremist groups. This is not an excuse for them doing so, it is simply normal for people to at some point to lose their tolerance. I cannot blame them for that.

It is sad that seemingly all people that are politicians and are part in media belong to those that cannot make any difference. There is so much “black and white” thinking that the problems that we currently have will never be fixed. This is why history repeats over and over again. Everything will be hollow once it happens. There is no “good or bad site” as it seems. There is only different extremist viewpoints. I wish people would finally understand that it is them being the problem for not making a difference at all.

One last example for this is - I have received lots of labels already. From left to right wing or whatever else. Once I know what kind of labels people throw at me, I know where they stand and what part of the problem they are. It is difficult to find others that also know how to see the bigger picture.

The thing that happened there had nothing to do with refugees. It was another disgusting guy that didn’t grow up in a way to behave like a decent human being and yes, there are certain cultures who are not that far. In this case though, it is not about refugees or even illegal immigrants as far as I know.

Ultimately whatever went wrong is mostly the fault of our useless politicians (and I only mean those that are directly involved and responsible) that failed with border control, addressing problems in the camps (it is horrible in these and a disgrace for our country) and showing consequences towards criminal pieces of pelican shit. I feel sorry for the refugees that fled from crime, war, or violence and it followed them right to us - just because none of our politicians has the guts to show pragmatic solutions. They are too naive. Blame the European countries that sent the wave of illegal immigrants that mixed with the refugees straight to this country, blame these other pieces of useless governments that refused way before this chaos broke out to solve the problem and work together. The EU itself is a useless system and we face the issue right away. On top of that, I understand that no country wants to be dictated whom to take or not to take. Now that we have potential terrorists and all sorts of criminals here - of course no one wants to risk taking any of these. Again, border control would solve the problem bit by bit. Just don’t blame the refugees, please, they endured enough. Blame our useless government, blame the illegal immigrants and those that follow a certain agenda which results in everyone criticising this mess as “racists or nazis”. Blame the actual rightwing nutjobs who stir up more conflicts on top of that or the leftwingers who behave as bad as these other nutcases. It is an utter chaotic mess over here because no one of these idiot-politicians wants to solve the problem. And what happens? Easy answer to that question: If politicians act against the will and demands of their people, they will at some point strike back via voting for the next party that offers them a solution, any solution. Thanks to our useless bunch of failed politicians we are getting these rightwing conservatives (AFD) rising higher, and higher. No party is able to bring this country to a proper long term solution. What do our socialists do? They vote for the freetrade agreement with Canada against the will of the people, the vice chancellor chooses to show his middlefinger to the public (no matter if they insult him or not) and way earlier some idiot politian accuses the Germans of “tending to end up with incest” if there aren’t enough foreigners in the country. Is that how anyone would feel convinced to feel positive of the current mainstream parties? I guess not. Well done, dear useless politicians, anything you do results in an utter failure because you are too dumb to realize that you are the problem.

It is that bad I’d rather vote for a pineapple than for any of these useless doorknobs.
