Windy Day.

25 Feb 2021 01.05pm I was sitting in my table, after coming back from Food Waste Cafe in Falmer House, one of the building in my campus. I bought a food package from them, it was 3 pounds but I got A LOT.

At the first, I think “ah, this is crazy! This is soo cheap!” that’s why I bought it but when I was on my way going back to Brighthelm, God reminds me for something. “Do you think 3 pounds are small numbers?”

In Indonesia, 3 pounds could cover 2 weeks of healthy homefood. In the UK, this number is so small, 3 pounds is equal 2 can of coke but there are a lot of people who still can’t afford it. People hardly mention about poverty in the developed country but honestly, poverty is everywhere and the possibility that they can’t afford 3 pounds is still exist even in this vibrant tourism city like Brighton.

This fact makes me terribly sad when I was on my way back but in the same time, feel grateful and thankful to both of my parents, and ofc my almighty God.

If you are hungry, and you still have food to eat; then, that’s enough.

I lost all my confidents since I arrived here. My friends came from prestigious background and majority of them are scholarship awardee. Their parents are well-educated and coming from middle-high social class. While, my dad stopped his study at second grade in high school, due to economy condition in that era. My mom doesn’t have any degree.

I started to compare myself to them, and it was a very toxic moment for me. Until one day, I just tired of “compete” with them. I embrace my family background, my financial ability, my study and all. I feel happier and blessed by God. Instead of thinking my family is not well-educated or bloody rich, I say my gratitute to God because even though my family is lacking, I can stand tall in this campus.

Why I love reading books?

People asked that a lot, have you wonder the same?

I read because it kills time. Waiting is something that people hate, so do I.

I read because I know you didnt come sooner. 

I read because I wait for my half of mine.

Therefore, take your time my dear. Have fun, get experiences and be wise. 

I never know love can change people’s life dramatically!

I really thought that all movies and dramas are a big joke! How come love can change people? I always thought that love is just a side dishes of life which is i realize now that i am totally wrong. LOVE IS INDEED ALL YOU NEED!
