My favourite frankenstein related piece of media atm is the 1831 novel. I plan on reading the 1818 edition too soon, but i sadly do not own it yet <//3 i also REALLY like 'Frankenstein: a new musical' from 2008, its absolutely amazing and like. AAAAA.
I also like practically all the frankenstein related art and fanfic on this app, so if you wanna be moots, id be glad to, i love seeing Frankenstein related stuff.

Itβs always so funny to me when people push the βRomeo was grooming Julietβ theory, especially when Paris is right there.
Romeo is around Julietβs age and we can tell by his lines that Paris is way older and definitely an adult. Like. Look at R + Jβs banter, itβs two total equals having fun with each other. They kiss and then Juliet asks for another kiss!! They match each otherβs weird vibe!! Romeo says shit like βI wish I was your pet birdβ and Juliet responds that she would literally crush it to death because sheβd love it too much. Weirdos!!! They match each otherβs freak!!!
Compare that with how Juliet interacts with Paris. Heβs predatory and possessive over her, and itβs pretty obvious sheβs uncomfortable. He pushes her dad to let him marry her even though he knows sheβs too young!! Instead of playful banter we get Juliet being quiet and subdued, the complete opposite of her fiery, weird self she is with Romeo!!
βOh, Juliet shouldβve just married Parisβ No! If she did she would have ended up just like her mother, forced to marry an adult man and have a baby way too young, rendering her unable to connect with her child, and then the cycle would continue!
The theme of men preying on young girls and the patriarchy leading to destruction is there!! But Romeo is not the problem!!! Heβs actually the opposite of the problem !!!!
