This is white male privilege.

This is injustice.

Update: Judge Aaron Persky is running unopposed for Seat 18 so, he is not even on the ballot.

We can file complaints about his ethics violation however. 

More info on Judge Persky: This is not the only time he has shown bias in favor of student athletes. He also coached lacrosse at Stanford. His inability to remain impartial in the face of his personal prejudices is well-established and he is unfit to serve.

We cannot let him get reelected and let more rapists get away.

And media outlets, including this one, were forced to use smiling yearbook photos and video stills from Turner’s trial rather than his mugshot — which hadn’t been released to the public.

But, after pressure, the sheriff’s office finally released his mugshot on Monday afternoon. It may not do anything to change his short sentence, but seeing Turner’s mugshot will help even things out in the court of public opinion.

When a black child is murdered in cold blood by a white cop, they won’t waste a minute putting out photos that try to paint that child as the criminal. But when a rich white adult male rapes an unconscious woman behind a dumpster, they actually try to protect the scumbag’s public image at all cost?
