somewhere on a long dead forum there's a link that no longer works to a mod to a game nobody plays that would be a valuable contribution to the way people see level design if it got a chance to be seen. somewhere on a website that gets 15 monthly visitors there's a webcomic that woulkd inspire and resonate with you and change your life even in a small way if you could just find it. somewhere theres a music artist that would inspire you for years to come but their work just can't manage to be seen online or off. theres so many things that would change your life that just can't seem to rise to the surface and remain undiscovered and forgotten. or maybe never shared

sex-repulsed people are fully within our rights to be cranky and blunt about not liking sex and how it's fucking everywhere btw. we shouldn't have to tiptoe around and make sure our phrasing is perfectly squeaky clean because people interpret any criticism of sex and sexualization as puritanism. venting about compulsory sexuality is not purity culture. maybe you could stand to learn a thing or two from us.

In the past I’ve been very dismissive of Omegaverse, but as I consider it again I have to give it props for being SUCH an ubermensch of a genre. I believe it is outcompeting all predecessors because it provides a perfect cross-section of “identity secret”, “sex pollen”, “biologically justified mpreg”, and “seme/uke gender dynamics”. It’s everything that gay fanfic has ever obsessed over in one neat package of pre-made world building you don’t have to fuck with if you don’t want to. PLUS it has anatomically exotic penises. Like, it can do anything.

And I have to say the average story over the last ten years has improved in terms of world building and social consciousness. Is it that more people are participating, so the greater reservoir of material to be in conversation with is gaining complexity? Is it that different sorts of people are now participating who didn’t used to? Both? I couldn’t tell you.
