I’ve seen it said their marriage wouldn’t last because of Anakin’s lust for adventure. He’d become restless and unsatisfied with family life.

I don’t buy any of that because of how happy he was at the new he’d be a father.

Lololol Anakin would be dissatisfied with family life? What are these people on? I now know for sure they’ve watched a different version of the Prequels.

There’s nothing that Anakin wants more in the world than a family and yes, as you said, he was extremely happy to hear he would be a father.

Also yeah, Anakin likes adventures, but you know what he likes more than anything in the world? Padme and his family. Like he would not have turned to the dark side and killed the entire Jedi Order to save his family and then be like “You know, babe... we just don’t go on enough adventures anymore. Sorry, but I gotta bail. I need to go get shot at by droids or fight someone to feel happy.“ I can’t with how ridiculous their theories are.

Lol divorced... Anakin and Padme. They’d never get divorced. There’s more chances for Palpatine to realistically survive after getting thrown into a reactor and killed by it and then getting exploded along with the entire Death Star in the middle of nowhere in space.

I hate it when people say they would have ended up getting divorced. Like 1. It doesn’t fit the theme of space fairytale. So they miss the entire point of SW. 2. Anakin and Padme are so in love with each other that they’d literally do anything to be together. There’s no way they’d ever get to a point where either one of them or both of them want to end the relationship. Padme herself wanted to leave her entire life behind and be on the run from both the Empire and the Rebellion and Obi-Wan and who else was left alive of the Jedi, just to be with Anakin. And Anakin, we already know what he did for a chance to still be together with Padme. Anakin and Padme are too ride or die for each other to ever get divorced.

Not to mention that him leaving his wife and children would be so out of character for Anakin who wanted to have a father all his life and who loved having a family. Anakin would have lived on Tatooine, buried in sand, for the rest of his life if it meant he gets to spend the rest of his life with Padme and their children.

And let’s say for a second that for some reason Anakin loves getting in trouble and being adventurous more than he loves his wife, whom he risked everything for... Padme would just go with him on said adventures and with the kids.

To answer the first part of your question: Yes, I think Anakin and Padme would have lived happily ever after after ROTS if that was what happened. I think they would have lived happily even if Anakin just agreed to leave with her on Mustafar. I feel like Anakin would have had a lot of guilt and he wouldn’t forgive himself for what he did, but I think Padme and the kids being with him, would have made him happy overall.

This goes for both Anakin and Padme. There’s nothing else in the world Anakin loves more than his wife and there’s nothing else in the world Padme loves more than her husband.

The take that he wouldn’t be satisfied after the war completely ignores his love and want for family and a secure household in TPM and AOTC (you know… the canon films which is the gospel medium of star wars). It completely ignores the fact that he was willing to give it all up to be with Padmé (literally pouring out his soul to her) if only she said the word in AOTC. I know the exact events that take place the way in the exact way that they do in the novels is not ‘canon’ anymore but because they were purely based on the screenplays, the inner monlogues and character motivations are very much still true to the core of these characters and cannot be overlooked when new disney canon seeks to simplify and flatten everything. Anyone who has read his inner monologues in those books would know that being with Padmé is all this man ever wants, and it is that desire which is eventually twisted and used against him by fate.

The Clone Wars version of thrillseeking is simply Anakin 'doing his thing' in the midst of a WAR. He's making the best of it, because he is committed to seeing out the war at that point. But it hardly means he doesn't enjoy life outside of that. After all, there's even an episide of TCW where he suggests that he and Padme run off together and have a 'vacation' (or perhaps a belated honeymoon) somewhere. That doesn't sound like someone who would just rather be chopping up battle droids idefinitely to me.
