Fallen
Built one match at a time
A3
1,5 months of work
~ 1,000 matches (yes, I counted every single one) + 100 g of glue
The matches had been waiting for this project for ten years. I collected and kept them after they were used, hoping I'd eventually find something worth making out of them. I guess this portrait became a sustainable art project.
Every match was individually trimmed and carefully re-burned to the exact shade I needed before being glued into place. The only unburnt matches are the iris of Crowley's eye. An angel may fall and burn, but the Fall changes what he becomes, never who he is.
Fun fact: ironically, after all that careful work with fire, the only time the artwork nearly went up in flames was during the final details. While I was using my ancient wood-burning tool (it's older than the GO book 🌝) around the pupil, two of the match heads in the iris suddenly ignited right in front of my face. Thankfully, I managed to put them out before they turned 1,5 months of work into ashes... and possibly took my apartment with them 🌚 I nearly had a heart attack.

Paradigm Shift by depraveddame
Part 8 of The Unity of Opposites, aka Old Man Disaster Professors
| 3996 | explicit | human AU, Professor AU, dom Aziraphale, sub Crowley, power dynamics, weekend meet up, booty-call-ish text messages, lots and lots of kissing, teasing, dirty talk, undressing, porn with feelings, a splash of sort-of kind-of virginity kink adjacent vibes, pining while fucking, revelations, and more!
| summary |
After receiving a scorching text in the middle of the night over the weekend, Aziraphale invites Crowley to his home for the very first time. Just as they’re about to take things further, he learns something rather shocking.
| excerpt |
“You wicked creature,” he murmurs. Heart contorting and tumbling as it totters along a twisted tightrope of strings Aziraphale has done his damndest to keep unattached. Staring into honeypot eyes, trapped and thoroughly compromised.
“Aren’t I just,” Crowley purrs with the subtlest of smirks, the filthiest of inflections. Aziraphale has half a mind to toss him back out into the night for his cheek.
The other half wants to tie him to his bed and never let him go.
His hands, ever practical, agree to a compromise.
I'm still on a high dose of Human AUs. Feral for this fic, that setting, and those two as characterized therein. Whew!
LEGO Ineffable Wives (mostly 1960s)
Argh, finally I get to share some pictures of my Ineffable Wives minifigures that I've been hinting about for ages. I totally blame the delay on them (more specifically Aziraphale, tbh). Seriously, when I had the crazy idea to create some LEGO 1960s Ineffable Wives I thought it would be a cute little quick project, but these ladies clearly had other ideas. Funnily it was Crowley who settled on some fashionable outfit and a perfectly 1960s hairdo quite quickly, but Aziraphale simply refused to make any decisions. We went through more hairpieces and fashion options than I care to remember. Turns out she's got standards! Obviously Crowley didn't want to be outdone by Aziraphale, so things started to spiral out of control just a bit! 😉 Anyway, at some point I simply gave up on finding their one true perfect outfit(s) and just rolled with whatever these two (again, mainly Aziraphale) wanted to try. Sp please enjoy all these ineffable Wives in their beautiful glory! 🥰
For more pictures and ramblings...
I suspect there will be more and more adorably unhinged Slorch stuff from here on out and am severely here for it. 🦈

In Two - A Nine Inch Scales spin off story - Chapter 1
Thank you to @theonevoice for the gorgeous cover art. And thank you to my betas @totheendtimes and @TansyOgg
Summary: After a catastrophic argument with Aziraphale sends Crowley hurtling through time, he comes face to face with the last person he ever expected to feel sorry for: himself
Twenty-seven years old, painfully human, and calling himself Crows, the tortured musician is everything Crowley has spent decades trying to leave behind: lonely, touch-starved, desperate to be loved, and standing on the brink of a choice that will haunt him for decades. Determined to change history, Crowley offers Crows the understanding, acceptance and safety he never had at that age. But the more time they spend together, the harder it becomes to ignore the impossible connection growing between them. As old wounds reopen and with the future in jeopardy, Crowley must decide whether saving his younger self means teaching him how to let go… or risking everything to discover who they might become together. Excerpt: Crowley allowed himself the smallest flicker of satisfaction before glancing sideways at his younger self.
Up close, it was worse.
Or better, he couldn’t tell.
“You looked like you needed a better offer,” Crowley said lightly, sliding the fresh drink smoothly across the bar.
His younger self blinked at him, caught off guard, and didn’t take it. “D— did I?”
There it was. The edge. The deflection, wrapped up in brittle armour.
Crowley huffed a laugh. “Please. I know you— your type.”
His younger self eyed him, suspicious but curious. “Oh yeah? And what type’s that, then?”
Crowley leaned his elbow on the bar, angling himself graciously to hold the drink out to his younger self. “The kind that thinks this place is going to fix something.”
Younger Crowley hesitated, then took the glass, fingers brushing against Crowley’s.
A spark seemed to jolt between them, unseen. Crowley felt it, and judging by his younger self’s look of confusion, so did he.
The younger Crowley blushed, then scoffed, looking away to deflect his embarrassment. “You always this presumptuous?”
“Only when I’m right,” Crowley said smoothly.

Nine Inch Scales is one of my favorites, so I'm eager for more. I want a tour shirt. I don't know how to make this happen, but maybe I will figure something out. I will be making this a load-bearing part of my future for the forseeable future.

Alpha Centauri
[a quick color study that near the end claimed fanart status, so here you go]
Aziraphale turns to look at him and he’s welcomed by a vision of black and scarlet. A striking contrast to everyone’s whites and silvers.
The man is wearing a pair of boots Aziraphale finds almost outrageous. They’re black suede, and end right over his knees. Their heels are just a little too high, and the suede wraps around lean ankles just a little too cheekily.
Crowley comes to Aziraphale’s rescue, helping him get into his costume before the masquerade. Except he’ll end up helping with a little more than that.

I haven’t painted anything in months and I feel like I’m quite out of practice, so have a very loose repaint of La Gimblette by Jean-Honoré Fragonard I made today to get me back into painting.
This is tremendous. All the little details are so worth leaning in to check out!
how are you gonna be 31 and posting fandom content bro leave it to the teenagers
People 10 and 20 years older than me are writing your favorite fanfics, and drawing your favorite characters. You'd have no fandom without the people you think are 'too old' to have hobbies.
Who the heck do you think started modern day fandom with Star Trek? It sure wasn't teenagers.
Who do you think makes professional quality fanart and fanfic? People who've been practicing it for ten, fifteen, twenty years!
Or even people who've been practicing it for thirty, forty or fifty!!!!!
example: Diane Duane. Currently in her seventies. Star Trek fangirl since the original run. Goddess-level Ascended Fan who has created official tie-in works in more forms of media than pretty much anyone else alive, possibly even Rodenberry himself because they didn't have audiobooks or video games when he was with us. Writer of Spock's World, The Wounded Sky, Doctor's Orders in TOS. Co-writer of TNG script Where no one has gone before, and writer of the tie-in novel Dark Mirror among others. Writer of a half-dozen Star Trek Comics. She has adapted her own work for audio, has written for the Star Trek manga series, has written short Trek fiction for anthologies, and plotted and wrote the video game Star Trek: the Kobayashi Alternative.
In other fandoms, she was a personal friend of Terry Pratchett himself. As a scriptwriter, she's also worked in fandoms like Scooby-Doo, Transformers, My Little Pony, Gargoyles, Batman: The Animated Series, Spiderman: Unlimited (and a trilogy of tie-in novels still in print) and Barbie: Fairytopia. ...And that's just cherry-picking her imdb page.
While she can't give out specific details due to Obvious Reasons, she's still active in the Sherlock BBC fandom - and there's a specific subset of her fans who love guessing which of the legendary fanfics might be her work (I am not one of them, BTW, as it is None Of My Business. I'm old-school that way).
Fandom is not for teenagers. Fandom is for everyone of good heart and enthusiasm for a good (or even bad! No judgement!) story.
Just wait until you grow up, Anonymous OP. Wonder how long it'll take you to change your mind.
...Some days when you're feeling tired and sad, and wondering "what the hell is the point... why am I even bothering?"... it's nice to be reminded that you're supported.
