Question: I'm going to be a freshman next year(comp sci major). I took AP calc AB,BC and stat. Do I start college with calc 3 or do i not take credit for calc 2 and retake the class in college. I scored 5,4,4 respectively. Many people have told me to "retake" calc 2 because its much harder than high school but I think there just not good at math. What is your opinion? Also what other math classes should i take first? Its also 1AM. should I go to bed?
Honestly it’s how you want to gauge yourself. If you want to take the initiative I would say go to your school, find a professor you might get along with to help you, get ahold of a practice exam of sorts, try it out and if you do well for yourself then don’t pay any mind, you got this and you don’t need to retake it... But if not then I’d say it’d be best to retake. I got thrown into calc II after a summer of slacking off and I barely made it through my first time around but shockingly I did. I mean it’s really what you fill prerequisites for. And I mean, are you even tired? If you aren’t tired and you don’t have any responsibilities in the morning.. Do as you please. Enjoy your time the way you want to, you know?
