Is there a scientific reason why we can’t seem to help ourselves from poking and prodding our injuries?
Whumpee gets beaten up and robbed of all his possessions, then he gets soaked in the rain. Caretakers finds him and takes Whumpee back to his house. What is the first thing that Caretaker does once they are in the house?
Assess Whumpee's injuries and tend to them
Gets Whumpee to take a warm shower first before tending to his injuries
Spellings
Hi everyone! Long time no see lol
Here's a question for all my friends across the pond.
How jarring do you find it in a piece of fiction when something is spelt in the British English way? For instance 'Mum' instead of 'Mom'.
Because I know when I first started to read American fiction and fan fiction seeing the word 'pants' used instead of 'trousers' would genuinely crack me up (and when I was younger, have me very... concerned 😅).
I ask you this because, although I know THG is set in America, and Twelve in the southern states at that, having Katniss or Prim call their mother 'Mom' instead of 'Mum' feels... icky to me.
So yeah, would you say that would be distracting and pull you out of the story or it's 'eh whatever 🤷♀️'?
Anyone feel free to chip in - I need to knowwww :)

Retail workers!
Which would rather have:
$15 dollars an hour?
Or
The power to talk back at rude, dumb, annoying, spoiled, etc. customers with no negative repercussions?
What would ENFJ 693 and 694 look? I’m trying to figure out my heart fix. I’ve ruled out 2 (I’m not that love-hungry and caring) I feel like I’m 3 fix because I’m low-key confident and very ambitious. And I’m very fluid … like I can gouge precisely how to approach people and adapt to it. I’m good at performing if need be. And at times I can be quite detach from my feelings, like ‘if that needs to be done’ sort of thing.
Fluidity and shape shifting to appeal to people is the staple of the 369, so I’d say that is correct. There’s an entire podcast devoted to that tritype here if you’re interested and Nancy, one of the participants, is an ENFJ. They also talk about the Bermuda Triangle (369) at the end of their “tritype roast” #1. In a nutshell, it adapts effortlessly to others, knows instinctively what to do to appeal to others, and can lose self in the process.
And is it Fe thing to emphasize knowing people more than thing? I’ve just talked with my ENTJ senior and he seemed to emphasize on facts and skills a lot.
We had a talk this evening about what we’d do when we graduate (he’s in last year and I’m in third year). He said having skills and certification is a lot more important than just knowing people but people are still important. He mentioned that it’s the skills and 'proof’ of it that matters because people can’t know your capability unless they measure it to some standard. And he works on it very passionately. His method is to use practical skill to earn job and realize goals. He mentioned that projects we do in university is useless (which I agree) and those works will not be proofs of anything, we need to get out and do something real (since we’re in academic field, article writing and researching) otherwise, we starve.
When I hear he said that I went … fluffed out a bit. My tools for trade are people and connections. I’ve never really focus on my own skills or proof. While I know that I need skills and proof to work in the real world, I don’t focus on it as much. I only do what’s needed (getting good portfolio and refining some academic and political skills) and skip the rest (compare to my ENTJ systematically taking it all full on) but I focus so much more on people (and their letter of recommendation). What can this man contribute to my vision? What connections and contacts this one can introduce me to? How do I get into her good grace? How do I expand my network? What’s this person like and what’s his potential, can I push him over the limit? It’s in my head all the time. Even my career pathing now is still depend on people skill. I find potential job (to accomplish my vision I need to be closer to NGOs while remain in contact with academic professors) by getting in good grace of my professor and ask him to help me with my goals. It’s a … key man, I think? that matters most to me.
Is this a kind of contrast between Fe and Te? And I kinda notice that we tend to roll our eyes at each other even if we do like each other’s company. It’s funny, really but interesting.
Yup, that’s the difference between high Te (facts, useful things) and Fe (people).

Any fellow Canadians know of any more upcoming protests planned in Ontario??
