Can I....can I gush about my babies for a sec? Cuz I love them very much.
It seems that a lot of my fictional friend groups come in fours. The OG group consists of Fyo, Dirk, Yrsa, and Delwyn before they adopted two more people into the little chaotic friend group. Then there's the Four Generals,and the Four Spies, and the Four Bickering Royals.
And then there's The Four Gremlins.
Diomed's a former spy who doesn't know how to smile and laughs silently through his nose. People say he's the well-behaved one, but if the signs says, Wet Paint: Do not Touch, he's going to touch it. Just because the sign says not to. The same rule is applied to anything labeled as "Forbidden." Like forbidden studies. Or forbidden castles. Or forbidden enemy lines.
Hakan's a nerd who writes everything down, reads too much, gets writers cramp all the time, but also manages to be lethal with the sword at the same time. He's not likely to participate in shenanigans, but he likes to spectate, and write down anything embarrassing that happens so he can reference it later as blackmail.
Philip is a dad who should not be a dad because he gives his children knives. He has a fabulous little mustache and goatee, and tends to challenge people to duels at the slightest provocation. He can usually be found doing something stupid with Gage, most likely shenanigans, and plots to burn Hakan's little note book someday.
Gage is a much better dad because he actually teaches his small children how to use the knives. He is also Philip's brother-in-law and he doesn't talk very much. But don't let those puppy eyes and innocent face deceive you. He's a menace, and with Philip, he's a force to be reckoned with.

I randomly saw this on my dash, and I wanted to try it out- I'm terrible at coming up with superpowers but I'll give it a shot.
themodernmontecristo- How do I turn this into a superpower? My name is a reference to The Count of Monte Cristo so that could be something to bounce off?
Many characters already compare The Count to a vampire and in the Count of Monte Cristo anime (Gankutsuou) he just is a vampire. Maybe I could take something from that?
It could be wealth manipulation or literally just Edmond's manipulation/mastermind shenanigans in superpower form?
It could be either one of those so that's what I've got. I guess. I said I was bad at making superpowers/abilities and I meant it. 😭

Hey guys! Just out of curiosity, what are some things that you would like to see in my fic? I may not include everything you suggest, but I'm curious to see what you guys think, and I love feedback. It's still a work in progress, so I've got room to move around a little.
What kind of stuff would you like to see?
Certain cool Sci fi gadgets?
Certain character dynamics?
Certain tropes?
Again, just curious. And feedback helps inspire me to keep going, so it's greatly appreciated. Although I'm still on a small hiatus at the moment due to being a little busy, I plan to be back writing in late July or August.
I'm not far enough into the story yet to say what I want to see more of, all I know is that for some reason I want to see Will or Gilan drive. I feel like neither of them are great drivers. Horace is though. He's responsible on the road in my mind. Also Will's driving would DEFINITELY annoy Halt and Samdash. As for gadgets...Holodecks maybe? there might be a way you could use those maybe? to make like a trick for someone. There's also something like a tricorder, but idk if the rangers don't already have those.
I think you're right. Although maybe Gilan can drive responsibly, but he chooses not to. Will just got his license a few years ago, but he usually just let's the other guys that he's with drive. So he's just terrible. Horace would go the speed limit and not a mile over. His hands would be on the steering wheel at all times, and he always uses his blinker. Halt is selectively legal. He obeys traffic laws when he deems it necessary to do so, but ignores them when he deems the laws unnecessary.
I love the Star Trek devices. They kinds already have a comm system so tricorders might be redundant. I don't remember what holodecks are, but I'll look into them and see what I can do.

Stupid chaos. Yes, yes, there's a lot of that already, but just, like. more silly humor. I love me some good Kyrell angst but the humor is really a driving force too.
Also, I'd like to see Samdash interact more with Halt. I feel they could make a really good duo.
Yes! It could use a lot more stupid chaos. I'm kinda in a dilemma with that, cuz I need to get the story moving, but i think a fluff chapter every once in a while would be a nice breath of fresh air and would give everybody a break from the angst. (Everybody except Kyrell, of course. He'll just have to suffer for a while.)
I am planning more Halt and Samdash interactions, worry not. They will have lots of bonding time in the chapters ahead.

1.) Favorite Flower - Yellow roses are an old favorite of mine, but I also like yellow zinnias and yellow freesias. I like yellow flowers a lot because they held meaning in one of my favorite stories I wrote years ago. I also like hyacinths... because, y'know, my oc Hyacinth

Favorite Flower: Peonies, sunflowers, and hydrangeas. Peonies are swathes of love, sunflowers are explosions of light, and hydrangeas are clusters of gentle beauty.
Favorite Season: Late Spring/Late Fall. Where I live, summer comes early and stays FOREVER, so just before and after it, the temp is just right for me. Also Spring always makes me happy bc the world is waking up and life has returned and I remember the Resurrection and the Promise, and Fall makes me happy bc the colors of the leaves and the slight chill in the air and all the festivals and good food feel like a warm hug after a blazing summer.
Favorite Soup: Honestly anything with meat, veggies, and a good broth (preferrably tomato-based), but for specifics I do love a good Chicken and Rice Noodle with egg-white dumplings.
Favorite Anime: I haven't watched a lot of anime, but so far I really like Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, and Cells At Work. (I need to get back to FMA.)
Favorite Sport: Volleyball, probably. I'm not much of a sports person but I can hold my own in volleyball once I've had a few rounds to warm up (and if I'm playing with friends who are having a good time).
Favorite Ships: I've been in a lot of fandoms, so I have A LOT of favorite ships, so I'm just gonna go with the ones that I've been really feeling lately. I love Everlark, of course. And I've been in my feels for Phinabella lately... *sigh* my childhood ship of all time. And I've been re-reading A Wrinkle In Time and absolutely dying over how cute Meg Murray and Calvin O'Keefe are. Oh and of course all the Trainwrecks ships-- Sebasmine and Duketoria and Luna/Dimitri (they have a ship name according to the author but she hasn't revealed it yet, which makes sense as they're nowhere close to being an official couple). <3

Favorite Soft Drink: I'm not a soft drink kinda girl, so it's difficult to answer, but I did accidentally try Sprite one time and it wasn't awful?? Idk. OH WAIT I FORGOT ABOUT GINGER ALE. Does that count? I don't drink it often but if it's offered to me I will bc I like ginger ale.
Favorite Sea Creature: I had to look up jellyfish the other day and now I know more about how cool they are!!! Like, they start off as a polyp, attach to a surface, grow and multiply and then BUD INTO A TON MORE JELLYFISH!! And some species stay rooted rather than being able to freely move around! They're amazing!! (The moon jellyfish is probably my fave 'cause it's so pretty.)
Favorite Number: I've always been a fan of the number 4. But 58 is a close second.

Favourite Sport: What, to do or to watch? I really enjoy playing volleyball and tennis (which are cousins, really, if you think about it), but here recently I'm really loving biking (not quite mountain biking-- the back roads where I live aren't *that* unpaved-- but close XD).
Favourite Ships: The Dawn Treader is a beauty to be sure, but the We're Here is a character-filled little beauty. Of course, there's also such oddities as the Monitor, or the Constitution, with which I'm also quite fascinated. And of course, this is Tumblr-- we love the Carpathia around here.
Favourite Holiday: Solidly Easter at this point, and I think it may stay that way for the rest of my life.
Favourite Soft Drink: Am I boring if I say sparkling water? I don't get to have SpinDrifts very often, but I think lemon or lime SpinDrift may be my favourite soft drink. (OR watermelon-- I only had that once, but I did enjoy it.)
Favourite Sea Creature: SALMON, because they count both as sea creatures and river creatures; they can live in both saltwater and freshwater! I think they're really neat!!
(I also still have a scar on my knee from when I fell and flayed my leg open at a salmon hatchery when I was five years old, so . . . salmon and I go way back. XD)
