Steve Rogers serves in the Pacific during WWII and ends up desperately injured in a prison camp.

The Howling Commandos see Bucky on the TV during the events of CA:TWS, and we get nonagenarian hijinks as they go to find him.

Sarah Wilson’s boys are kidnapped and she turns to Bucky for help (Sam’s offworld or something).

Steve got Snapped and Bucky didn’t.

On Vormir the soul stone only took Nat’s soul, not her life. Bucky goes searching the universe for what’s left of her.

Avengers in the Tower (yes my May got away from me but I still want to finish it).

Absolutely no one and nothing needs an IMMEDIATE response unless it’s an emergency or a work related situation (focus modes exist that allow only certain notifications to go through for this purpose)

Getting to a text or notification in 15 minutes versus 2 hours changes absolutely nothing about the outcome of a situation

You forget 80% of what you scrolled through at the end of the day

There’s absolutely no image on Pinterest, no post on Tumblr, no story on Instagram that could be as novel as reading a book you’ve never read and the dopamine release from finishing it and soaking it in

it can literally wait. It’s not the end of the world. Your brain will make it seem that way but it’s not

Phones are built like slot machines (same exact mechanism) so don’t be too hard on yourself

But also consider how much progress you’d make in your goals if you siphoned some of that screen time into whatever goals you’ve had forever

you don’t need to live a no phone lifestyle, it’s about portions

it will feel so fulfilling when it’s under moderation

#yes #my great-grandma and her sisters haunt their old family home #after their youngest brother inherited the house he never let them back in to get their belongings #and then there was a scandal when he changed his will right before he died to leave his house to someone else (possible lover?)#so the whole extended family was mad as anything because the new owner wouldn’t let anyone in either #but now that the sisters are all dead I guess he can’t keep them out #and he can’t live there either #so a couple years ago he sold the house #all the family treasures are gone #but he gave us two boxes of stuff before he sold because we were the only branch of the family that hadn’t sued #and he let us in the house to look around #before he sold it #it was beautiful #I wonder if they still haunt it now that he sold it

I’ll never forget the time my parents said they were going out for a few hours, and left my siblings and me at home by ourselves (ages 9-14), and instead of going nuts or just sitting around, we all rushed and did our hair and makeup and got dressed as fancy as we could; sister pulled out the wine glasses and grape juice and made an hors d'oeuvres platter, another googled how to play poker, pulled out chips from a different game, dimmed the lights, and we set up a fancy 4-person gambling den at the kitchen table and played until my parents said they were on their way back with dinner. Then we quickly picked everything up, washed our faces, changed back into our casual clothes, and pretended nothing ever happened. They never found out.
