If we’re critical of Nigel’s unusual preaching, and we think that perhaps he is not a vicar, but he said that he is, and he has Catholic priests as friends and he was upset about Jack impersonating one, then do we think that perhaps Hawkes has been Irish Catholic at some point? Was he at Mass the day that he ran into Emma and Jack?

I agree that Emma will break the Curse somehow with the power of friendship. I don’t believe she and Hawkes are or were ever meant to end up together. He is wholly Other and it seems like only Eloise has that same sort of ethereal quality.

I don’t know how real The Roman is, but I think Nigel is the one who moves stuff around St. Crispian’s as a sort of matchmaker, weaving threads of fate.

ok I do intend, at some point, to watch both of these shows, but at the same time, that's a very loose sort of commitment and I don't really have the brainspace to pick up another thing right now. that said I have been wondering about this for years so I'm gonna ask you, one of my certified Marvel TV Shows Enjoyer mutuals. how the heck is this Sousa guy, who is seemingly The Same Person, in both Agent Carter and AOS???

First, let me VERY genuinely thank you for sending me this ask, for I love Daniel Sousa, with a deep deep deep love that will never die

The simplest way to answer? Time travel. Suffice to say, the last season of Agents of SHIELD has a LOT of really good cameos, from a variety of times. Sousa is, to understate things, the best of them all, and plays a truly delightful role

Obviously, not having the brain space is SUCH a valid reason, and I fully support it!! That said, do tell me when you watch either one, for I love these shows deeply!!

Y'know, in much the same way that it's more compelling (most of the time) to see evil characters who are redeemed live and struggle with the consequences rather than self-sacrifice as their first and final redeeming act, I believe it is similarly rewarding to see depressed and self-destructive characters live and struggle with it rather than dying as the final act in their own self-destruction
