Get ready for the sap because this post about #NationalGirlfriendDay is going to be worse than the floors of a gas station bathroom. (I hardly ever do this, so I am totally allowed, okay?) Today, Sierra and I took our second big trip together as a couple to Seattle, and I could not ask fot a better person to tag along on my adventures. I was pat down by TSA (again), we set off a security alarm (because of my obvious brilliance), and we almost missed our second flight (guess whose fault it was, go ahead). Needless to say, it's a miracle we get anywhere together. A couple nights ago, Sierra fell asleep in the living room while I played a video game, and even though it really sent my back into a tailspin, I slept next to her because there was no way I was going to let her be cold without me. A week ago when I was sick, I knew I was in good hands because they are attached to the arms that held me while I shivered and sweated due to my insane fever. Even now, just looking at her sleeping against the car window, streetlights and potholes trying and failing to wake her, I feel elated just knowing she is with me. Though I know my heart is currently racing due to the pressure we experienced on the airplane, I get the same feeling every day I come home to see her. I said it on Twitter, and I'll say it again. She makes everything okay because she is everything to me. I love you, Sierra, and I am so thankful to have you in my life. The only thing that could make it better is this bomb ass shirt you decided not to buy. But, I guess we'll survive without it. <3 (at Washington)
