I try not to talk too badly about the whole pro-L0kius shipping, but at this point its so obvious that the most hardcore shippers (who are obsessively anti-Sylki) indulge in a very heavy projection that happens at the expense of canonical characterization.

Like, a lot of people had started shipping them when the trailer dropped and liked the dynamic between them. But as someone has already pointed out, it was the scene where Loki is chained and Mobius is kind of mocking him. It is quite belittling. But there is a demographic of people who enjoy this kind of power imbalance dynamics. Hence, most L0kiuses headcanoning Loki to be some kind of an inexperienced sub who does not try to be mature while Mobius is a zaddy policeman (same goes with The Grandmaster/Loki shippers).

And there were zero implications of their relationship going in a direction that entails anything other than the platonic subtext. Loki and Mobius started off as a cop and his prisoner but then developed a father-son like bond. This is made very clear in the series, there is nothing deeper than that going on there.

I say that Sambucky was a queerbait because they were queer-coded. Yes, it was for shits and giggles but this does not change the fact that non-platonic tension/framing was incorporated. Ineffable Husbands and Spirk are the characters written in the times when anything romantic going on between two male characters was not really something the straight male writers/directors/actors would think of but since these characters were intended to have a deeper than just friends/more than the platonic mates bond and the whole "platonic soulmate" subtext going on, its easy to reframe their relationship as romantic while staying loyal to the canon.

This is absolutley not the case with Loki and Mobius. Everything we need to know regarding how Loki feels about Mobius, and vice versa, exists on the surface level. Nothing really profound.

Both YouTube and Reddit aren't an absolute representation, but they're far more complete than Twitter or Tumblr. Reddit is the best representation of the hardcore Marvel fans, while YouTube is the clearest gauge of general interest.

Also to note, with Reddit's system that allows downvoting, that means people can even show their negative reactions even easier. Yet pro Loki x Sylvie comments are consistently upvoted.

What makes a Loki a Loki ? Is it something inherent to their being, or is it more like a social construct. What comes first, existance or essence ?

And apart from being Lokis, they both shouldnt exist, they're living paradoxes. For this reason, I am really interested by the idea of them having a child. I don't know if Marvel will go there, but I think it would be a very interesting concept, and a nice throwback to North mythology. Imagine a child born of pure paradox. Would that make this child some sort of a Watcher/Timekeeper/Now and Then entity ?

Or as Rory Williams would put it, would the child be born with a "temporal head" (or however he said it in English).
