i constantly see people talking about wanting a batman game from the perspective of a goon and they never actually give you information on how the game progresses like they want an hour long game on it
I HOWEVER want a game playing as jason as he takes over gothams underground beneath batmans nose i want near encounters with the bat potential fights if you get there fast enough and set up communications enough to find out when hes harassing your own goons. i want option based outcomes you can choose to slaugher your goons in batmans grasp so they cant say a word, you could expend resources to make sure they never get caught in the first places, you could fight batman again and again always leaving a bit worse for ware and never winning
i want all this to culminate in how the ending goes, if youve been on edge this whole time its harder to resist turning the gun to bruce (movie option) if youve killed to keep secrets its harder for bruce to see your point of view, if youve exhausted yourself keeping everyone safe the fight will be harder
AND give me run ins with other bats tapping into comm lines listening to barbara, the echoes of stephanie in conversations and info gathering on black mask, glimpses of tim if you wander enough out of crime alley, if you go visit your grave in the day you might spot dick he might even appear on the rooftops depending on if you play chaotic enough that bruce has asked for backup

I keep thinking about Jason and Diana having the warmest relationship both pre and post his death that just transcends trauma and all that shit with Bruce.
Jason who always begged to accompany Bruce to the Watchtower just so he could show Diana his schoolwork or the new trick that Dick showed him. Diana who equally demands Bruce bring Jason to every meeting and asks after him whenever he isn't there. Diana who is banned from every babysitting Jason after the Themyscira Incident.
Diana and Jason who have inside jokes, who just have to exchange looks and both are laughing until tears are streaming down their face. Diana and Jason who are not allowed sit together during meetings or debriefs because they are probably playing hangman or whispering to each other.
Jason who dressed as Wonder Woman for Halloween as a kid and got in a fight with Bruce because Bruce was worried people might make fun of him only for Diana to show up on Halloween dressed as Robin, ready to take Jason out trick or treating, only after stopping to yell at Bruce.
Diana and Jason who spar together, especially when Jason needs to work out some anger or frustration, Diana who turns those training sessions into opportunities to talk it out. Jason who listens to her rant about things that bother her.
Diana and Jason who have standing lunches or coffee dates to exchange news and gossip. Jason who bounces ideas of going to college off Diana and Diana who supports him, even offers to finance the entire ride to college.
Just Jason and Diana having a close bond that stabilises and supports Jason and allows Diana to be her true kinder, warmer, maternal self.

AU where upon being revived in the league of assassins, Jason is introduced to Damian, not to become his protector or teacher, but to become his handler. this is because Damian Wayne Al Ghul is a force of nature so chaotic and unwilling to listen, that even Talia and Ra's have completely given up on him. their only hope is to find the strongest guy at their disposal and give him the order to keep the fucking kid in line, otherwise who knows what will happen.
Jason tries his best. he gets... supremely lucky in the fact that Damian actually likes him and wants to keep him around. he knows this, because he's heard the horror stories about all of Damian's previous handlers. he tries, and by fucking hell he is good at his job. not amazing, because Damian is still a monster, but he is WAY better than anybody that came before him. Talia and Ra's are just... so relieved they found somebody Damian likes enough to not immediately ditch.
Jason is the world's best babysitter. he knows all the tricks, all the bribes, has all the instincts and the eyes-in-the-back-of-his-head that are needed to make sure Damian can't sneak off to act on every idiotic impulse he has. by the time they get to Gotham he is fucking EXHAUSTED. he's so overwhelmed by the job of keeping Damian in line that by the time they get to Wayne Manor he... cannot bring himself to give a single shit about his beef with Bruce or hiding his identity. he knocks on the front door and when Bruce answers and bluescreens Jason just watches Damian barge in to rush around the house like an excited puppy, and he sighs.
"Ok, you take him for like 3 hours." He tells Bruce, who genuinely has no fucking idea what is going on. "I'm gonna take a nap on your couch."
"What."
There's a crash from upstairs.
"You might want to keep a closer eye on your son, B. He likes jumping off things to see if you can catch him in time."
"WHAT."
