So I haven't been posting on tumblr for a while. I thought it's because I took an interest in other social media and left this one behind slowly. But last night it finally occurred to me. I left not because I got bored of tumblr. I left because I don't need it anymore. I used to use tumblr has a way to vent and avoid sadness, anger, or depression. But ever since I finally decided to put myself first and leave all the toxic people in my life behind, I started doing better. My life isn't magically perfect but it's getting there. I'm not sad anymore. Not like I used to be. I'm not insecure. Not like I used to be. And I definitely don't hate myself anymore. Not like I used to. So I'm not deleting this blog. But I won't be on it any time soon. I'm happy with my life. I have my amazing soulmate by my side. We're about to hit 2.5 years together. My longest relationship. I have my best friends and I've accepted new and loving friends along the way. I'm so close to graduating and I can say I've been doing it on my own without anyone's help. I have my own business that I started and already might have to start recruiting employees. I finalized adopting my baby girl pitbull. I'm grateful for the good I have. Life might get really hard sometimes. I do feel like crying those days. My anxiety hasn't left. And I still struggle with it. But the truth is that I prefer this struggle over the one I was facing 3 years ago. I'm not saying my depression is cured. But it's far better than it was.
