So after looking at some of the poll, it seemed like lovesick is winning so the Lovesick AU will be this AU main tag for anyone interested in tagging it or if they create some art related to it. Anyway, I am really glad to see that some people are interested in AU and I’m really excited to expand it all with everyone else.
So anyway, here’s some fun stuff that I and a few other people come up with shout out to @rosegoldorigins for this particular idea related to Legs’s turning
Due to the curse Legs would be a lot more willing to be turned than before, and there are two times where he could easily turn to be with Owen forever
A. Its during drinking trust exercise scene obviously the two are a lot more wary due to what’s happening to them (you can even make the argument that Owen was plotting to just kill Legundo to try to get rid of his feelings) but when it happened. SNAP! The curse took hold and lock eyes holding each other's faces. Owen opens his mouth to ask but Legundo beats him to it begging for him to turn him since his mortality is now weighing SO heavy on him and he needs to be by Owens side forever.
So Owen did. Legs never goes back to town after the storm, Owen doesn't return to the castle either, the two are deep in their feelings with mistrust to anyone else.
B. They separate after the trust exercise and are completely distracted thinking about the other, all they want to do is see each other again oh wait, taking any time that they’re alone to see each other Romeo and Juliet style (their respective allies notice but don't understand what's happened). But overtime the more they see each other and force themselves to pull away the more the separation hurts them.
So one day, The next time then they see each other. Owen and Legundo REFUSE to leave the other. And unfortunately, this get them caught by the the militia who freaks out and immediately attacked Owen leading to a death scare with Legundo when Ren attempted to attack Owen and the doctor jumped in front of it, nearly getting himself killed (And in a moment that feel too familiar to Legundo, he nearly stabbed Ren to death since well he knows every critical artery that would make someone bleed out in minutes)
And when Owen frantically says he doesn't want to be left alone again Legundo is urged by the curse to ask for a turning. He will never leave Owen, and that is his vow.
I prefer the second option mostly for this particular reason that I will explain now but the first option is just as fun of an idea due to the amount of chaos it will cause like the ramping up of the war between vampires and humans with both sides accusing each other of killing Owen and Legundo while the two lovebirds just stare at each other in a cave
But for the second option, it’s more of a terrifying slow burn for both sides which is what I prefer
For the vampires is more confusing than anything at first since they never see Owen this happy. Pyro wondered why he acting like that not knowing how to feel, Shelby initially at the beginning, thought it was romantic, especially When Owen describe him as a his soulmate. So for a while, she encouraged him to go visit Legs and act a bit like a lookout for him. As for Scott initially, he just rolled his eyes and just let it be thinking that it would be a good idea for Owen to turn the doctor because not only would it take away the humans most valuable resource but also it seems to keep Owen from moping so it’s a bonus although overtime the vampire began to become more and more concerned as Owen‘s obsession grew, especially when he seemingly forget about Louis. (even if he did hide behind the mask of indifference )
The town meanwhile are worried for Legundo and wondering what’s going on with the doctor. Cleo slowly begin to suspect that Owen did something to him, maybe even put him under an Thrall (giving the poor woman flashbacks to her own experiences) so she tried to slowly pull the information out of him without him getting suspicious and Legs trusted her with some of his thoughts since she was seemingly supportive of his and Owen relationship. However, behind the scenes Legundo was doing a little bit of mischief. The townsfolks wanted a cure and expected the doctor to do something, but Owen doesn’t want the cure. So slowly and steadily the doctor begin to sabotage it. From seemingly messing up from creating holy water to straight up giving the third book to Owen to hide. Despite his odd behavior because he still helped everyone out, was still kind to anyone in need and was still seemingly against Scott, no one initially suspected much. And the ones who suspect something like Sausage thought that he have a little crush on Owen. (I imagine like Shelby he was initially kind of a bit like a wing man who told Legs don’t worry I’ll keep your little secret ;) )
Well until one day after Apo visiting him and rather than leave the laboratory, she accidentally turned invisible and witnessed him, poured down one of the concoctions and accidentally breaking the glass on the floor before walking out of the lab, humming about Owen with almost crazed look in his eye.
