This is something idk what. I wrote it from the pov of hades talking to Orpheus. It gives hades more empathy than I think he usually gets.
I’ve walked this path through endless years, where shadows breathe and sway. And yet your song, so full of love, could turn the night to day. I see your pain, your fragile hope, it mirrors something true. For I would tear the heavens down if I could stand in you. But love is cruel, it tests the soul, It gives the sweetest, yet takes its toll. I know this ache, this desperate fight, To keep her close, to hold the light. I see myself in the tears you cry. The way you call her name to the sky. But fate’s a thread that frays and breaks. A fragile vow the gods can’t take. I know you love her, as I love mine, but the stars won’t bend, not this time. I gave you this, a fleeting chance, though I knew how it would end. For every step you take toward her, the fates will never bend. The way you hold her in your heart, I’ve felt it in my own. But love must learn the weight it bears when shadows claim their throne. She walks so close. You hear her breath, yet fear will call her back to death. I want to hope, but truth is clear, your doubt will bring the end you fear. I see myself in the tears you cry, the way you call her name to the sky. But fate’s a thread that frays and breaks, a fragile vow the gods can’t take. I know you love her, as I love mine, But the stars won’t bend, not this time. Do you think I don’t understand? How I hold Persephone’s hand? Her laughter warms a heart of stone. But love is bound to what we own. I gave you hope. I let you try. Because I see myself in your eyes. I see myself in the tears you cry, the way you call her name to the sky. But fate is cruel, it steals, it shakes, It leaves us mourning what it takes. I know you love her, as I love mine, but the stars won’t bend, not this time. So sing your song, and light the dark, But love won’t mend your broken heart. She’ll fade to shadows, you’ll lose her still, Yet love like yours bends even my will.
