Definitely autistic, probably adhd, potentially OCD, there's some other shit going on in here (gestures to my head) but I don't have the time or inclination to sort it all out.

Capitalism is the root of all evil. Long live the new flesh!

@voidtongued is my warframe blog
I have a NSFW blog that I will dm the url to you on request
Mostly defunct kin blog url also available on request (don't really post there anymore)
There's a bunch of other semi defunct roleplay sideblogs that I'm hanging on to out of nostalgia.
Things I am going to be annoying about:
History, particularly World War One, the 1920s, and into the 40s.
The Cthulhu Mythos
Video games (currently: Bloodborne)
Horror as a broader topic
Diseases and disease ecology
Comics books and superheroes in general
Bugs :]
Metal (favs are symphonic, power, and folk metal)
Im gonna do that thing where I reblog something like 12 times in a row.
Things tagged for easy searching because im lazyyy and tumblr made their ui worse:

#r'lyeh #carcosa or #yharnam - aesthetics tags named after the fucked up city that inspired them
#norse - paganism/heathenry stuff
#my me - selfies
If i accidentally reblog from a terf, cryptofascist, pedo/pedo apologist, zionist, please let me know so I can delete it, i don't always check URLs and may miss a dogwhistle
I no longer have a stance on "shipping discourse" I have a degree and am working on my second.

bro i LOVE indigenous fusion music i love it when indigenous people take traditional practices and language and apply them in new cool ways i love the slow decay and decolonisation of the modern music industry
Another one for Inuit artists is Piqsiq! Two sisters who’ve been doing traditional throat singing since they were kids. They make some really gorgeous, eerie, atmospheric stuff. Highly recommend watching this video of them performing live a cappella using a looping machine, because they might be the coolest people on the planet actually
For anyone into North Asian and Central Asian folk music, there's this incredible Siberian folk-pop band called Otyken! The group is mostly women and they're from multiple indigenous groups in Siberia, with songs being sung in their range of different languages. They're so much fun and their music videos are amazing!
i'll go ahead and recommend The Halluci Nation (formerly known as A Tribe Called Red), an EDM group from First Nations Ontario that do really cool fusions of First Nations music with dubstep, moombahton, and hip hop.
I really really really appreciate people who share videos on posts like these, because almost without a doubt every time I love the music but I’ve never got the spoons to click on links and look through a bunch of music or worse google the artist I always end up too overwhelmed to start and I hate that
Haven't seen Belle Sisoski here yet so here we go: she's the current Artist of Year for BURO impact Awards. She's from Malaysia and knows how to play an insane amount of ethnic instruments and mixes them with her own voice. She does covers and her own songs, mixes ethnic instruments with Techno and shows the process. And she's also a live DJ at 19!
And one of her own:
Oh and of course there's also the HU and Bloodywood for people who like more rock and metal mixed in:

I am begging you. Please learn about stress/discomfort tolerance. Practice raising it. You need this to survive. If someone online can ruin your day with a throwaway comment, you desperately need to understand discomfort tolerance and consciously, systematically build that shit.
Also! Stress tolerance is such an important skill that having a learning disability in that area is a major symptom of a whole lot of other disabilities/mental illnesses! Struggling with it is a huge part of life! It sucks!
Am I saying everyone with misophonia needs to listen to chewing noises all day? No. But you need to find ways to tolerate it enough that you don't treat others like shit if they make a mouth noise near you.
No, you don't have to read the fic with your trigger tags. But you do need to be able to handle scrolling past the tags without being upset.
It is hard! But not having it also makes you so so so easy to manipulate. That grandma is racist AF because her mom raised her to be uncomfortable around black people and she never fought that discomfort. Trans people make so many cis people uncomfortable and that discomfort turns into bigotry real fast.
Letting your discomfort dictate your actions and beliefs about things is a great way to become a terrible person. Learn. Discomfort. Tolerance.
So what I think is that there's this default belief in patriarchy that men are superior to women and therefore the "masculine" sphere is superior to the "feminine" sphere. And so, as feminists have fought to expand the number of allowable female activities, men (on the aggregate over generations) have retreated from those activities because they're now seen as "feminine", and so partaking in them is incommensurate with their belief in their own superiority. And, unfortunately, as this has progressed, this has resulted in a lot of men sectioning themselves off from, frankly, everything that actually makes being alive worthwhile. It's a misery spiral, and the only way out is to abandon male supremacy.
You can see this very starkly in certain professions too.
Like mine, archaeology. It used to be dominated by men as late as the 70s. And back then it was highly regarded as this grand prestigious profession.
But starting sometime over the last 40 years the gender demographics of it have shifted drastically. Now it's split pretty evenly between men and women (still almost entirely cis though. Anna Prentiss and myself are literally the only two trans people, let alone trans women, that I know of in the field.) In some places it's even dominated by women! And look how its now regarded: its prestige is almost entirely gone. Some people in other acedemic fields barely even consider it an acedemic profession, most outright deny that its a science at all! And in the toxic manosphere its openly hated. Men like Graham Hancock have made an entire career out of demonizing the field of archaeology.

i like a trans headcanon as much as the next guy but sometimes it really boils down to “that character has not had enough agency and/or introspective freedom in their life to have transitioned by the time we meet them in their story”
Grabbing people by the ankles as they walk past my foxhole for fun and profit (if I successfully drag them in here i now have a friend in my foxhole #myfoxhole)

It is very funny that when I reccomend Ersatz to people, half of the reccomendation is effectively content warnings. I will just be saying things like "oh yeah it's a setting that goes really hard on the body horror and existential dread. But there's also a huge woman and a guy who's making his trauma everyone elses problem!"
