There are pictures of the Blackstar players being proudly received by the President and his Vice.  No updates or reassurances (to date) regarding the country's current and debilitating energy crisis in which the populace is (in some cases) subjected to up to 72 hours of power failures.  Ghana lost the football match.  They did not win.  They failed.  #Dumsor

Bar NKOTB, Jodeci were my favourite group when growing up.  Cut short, they are mounting another comeback and I sincerely wish them well.

I'm hoping that whoever has registered the phrase has the decency to turn it over to Mohammed so that any revenue received can go toward benefiting him and his family for the long term.

I've been waiting for Nneka's latest single from her forthcoming album "My Fairy Tales" and it doesn't disappoint.   The video for "My Love, My Love" captures the intimacy, playfulness and connection of love.  Beautiful!  Love it!

I resolved to be a better Auntie in 2015. Got up early this morning and sent a long rambling voicenote on Whatsapp this morning wishing a friend's little one a happy second birthday. Felt proud of myself for remembering. Only to be told later that the birthday is February 20th!  Luckily, I forgot to sing in the note, that would have been really disgraceful!

“Start with two-and-one-half cups of fresh seasonal fruit. Put those into four half-pint canning jars. Combine one half-cup of flour, one half-cup of sugar and one half-teaspoon salt. Whisk it together with a fork and pour it on the fruit, and then top with butter. Once your jars are filled, move them to a square baking dish. Fill the inside of the baking dish with some dried beans to keep the jars from sliding around. Bake it at 350 for one hour. After baking, let the jars cool completely. I like to put a little whipped cream on top and, if you like, you can keep them in the fridge for up to a week. They make a great gift, and they are awesome for a picnic.”
