Whether you dropped Ben or not is a media literacy test
To me, the choice of whether to drop Ben or pull him up is meant as a test of a player's willingness to put up with someone who isn't materially useful to the group. Everything in episode four up until this point has been preparing the player for this moment, between Ben constantly screwing up and learning about the atrocities of Crawford, who purged everyone they considered to be a burden.
Do they give in to the ideology of Crawford and cut him loose, effectively being no better than that community was? Do they pull him up and keep him around, even knowing he could potentially cause even more problems and get more people killed? I personally think pulling Ben up is the moral choice in that situation, but I understand why some people wouldn't.
Ben finding out about the bear traps in the barn by overhearing a conversation while on watch but he notices that nobody ever mentions it to his face
The sad thing about Ben is that he joined the group when it was already in the process of it's collapse. He was never really "one of them" the same way that Kenny or Lee or Lilly was. He was only with them for a about a week and a few days, at a time when everything was already decaying and falling apart. Never getting a chance to bond with anyone (except maybe Clementine), never really getting to know the other members of the group. Everyone was so busy with their own drama, there was no time or care for a newcomer to involve himself in things. Ben was just dragged along for their disaster until it got him killed.

TWDG Question for y'all!!!
Out of all the deaths in the Walking Dead game, who would be the top three you think should've lived/you would revive them and why?
For me, my top three are Ben Paul, Nick and Luke
I've explained before why I think Ben should've lived, but I'll summarise it real quick, I think future characters would've done much better with Ben's perspective/experiences (like Marlon or Minerva) and I think he deserved to have a better redemption arc than what he got.
Luke and Nick, really, because I think both of their deaths were just a bit out of nowhere and kinda just "wait, that's it for them?" Mainly Nick's imo, you just kinda find him, and that's it for the poor guy, and honestly as much as people say he's the Ben of S2, at least Ben had a way better death than him.
As for Luke, his death wasn't exactly "out of nowhere" but it was a bit unnecessary to me, the choice you make in his death scene are basically either Luke dies or both Luke and Bonnie die (best option tbh).
So it's "cool character dies" or "cool character STILL dies but less cool characters dies with them"
What a bunch of bullshit π
Okay, my tangent over, who are your picks?
For me, I'd go with Sarah, Luke, and Tripp/Ava (whoever survives the execution).
Sarah because her entire character basically amounted to nothing in canon. She could've been someone with whom Clementine passed on what Lee had taught her, but instead she just gets killed off and everyone forgets about her, all with the implication that someone like her couldn't ever possibly survive in a zombie outbreak, which is... not great.
For Luke, his death was really unceremonious and doesn't really fit how important of a character he was. He should've had the final confrontation with Kenny, since that was built up more than Jane. Maybe Jane would be killed in the car crash in the final episode, causing Luke to be in the mental state where he'd be willing to fight Kenny.
For Tripp/Ava, I never really liked how they die so suddenly and then are just forgotten, much like Sarah. Ava's death in particular is just comical with how sudden it is and how everyone just moves on with barely a word about it. Whoever survived episode four should've survived until the end, maybe getting separated if you don't want them to get in the way of the ending but turning up in the aftermath for a final scene.

This could pretty much be the through-line for the entire TWDG series.

Honestly, pretty good advice for somebody who's about to go through a zombie outbreak. Not that the officer knew about that little detail... probably.

What-Ifs of Telltale's the Walking Dead Chapter 76: What If Clementine Successfully Escaped the Cabin Group After She Regained Consciousness?
Summary: It was blind fear, launching herself up and taking off the way she did. The bullet tearing past her only confirmed it was the right call, but now Clementine is once more alone in the woods, slowly dying from a dog bite. What's the chance she'll find someone else willing to help?
