Hello!! I'm actually still kinda new to Tumblr (despite this account maybe being a couple years old) I haven't checked nor do I know how to, but welcome!!! A bit of an introduction: my name is Silver, and I use They/Them Pronouns! My blog is a safe place for people of many kinds except for:

- Trans meds, TERFS, and general nasty people!!

My top priority is making sure that people can feel safe, even if it's just my little corner of the internet!

So I decided to do a quiz and honestly it made me feel a lot more happier, even if the results are really indecisive :,}

But I wanted to talk about something that's been bothering me and it's honestly not easy for me to talk about but here we go anyways:

AroAce people are real. AroAce people do get discriminated against. Not every AroAce person is the same, we are a diverse group of people and not a monolith.

I'm so tired of people questioning me on why I've dated in the past. Because I denied my identity for the longest time. I've never personally felt attraction outside of Appreciation/friendliness. But I still pressured myself to engage in romantic relationships because growing up, I rarely/never saw any representation of myself. Even in the Queer community. I felt like I had to lie to myself, because of the way I never got to see anyone like me. And it sucks. Because even today AroAceSpec people are still not properly represented, even within pride. And I want that to change because I'm tired. Because there's kids like me who will deny who they are, and will force themselves in situations that they don't want, because they're constantly told that they aren't real. That they're not welcome. And it pisses me off.

I'm also really tired of the excuse that some writers put into their work as to why their aroace character dates/has sex, which is that "aroace people can still do those things" which is true, but why do I see it in every character?

Anyways, sorry for the rant, I will probably do it again.
