I understand some of you are 19 but that is not an old man, he's 32.
My dad and I had a very funny miscommunication recently.
I moved into a new place recently and saw an old lady almost fall down her stairs because of a broken handrail, and so I went home and called my dad to ask if we could fix it and told him what happened, and during the course of it called her geriatric.
Then, I went over to her house to ask for permission to fix the handrail and found out that a much younger woman ( probably right in the middle of the difference between me and my dad's ages) lived there and the old lady was her mother who visits frequently. I assumed that this had no bearing on whether we would fix the handrail or not considering it was still a safety hazard that was endangering an old woman, even if the old woman didn't live there so I didn't mention it to my dad.
And then my dad ends up going over because he screwed up the design of the handrail, so I made him redo it all on his lonesome because I only had time and energy to do this once and he insisted on doing it the wrong way
He came back offended that I had called a woman younger than him geriatric, so I had to explain to him the whole debacle lol
