toff et julie: well, mack wraps his arms around will from behind and gently buries his nose in the nape of his neck while will cooks them dinner. they slow dance to 80s synth pop in the refrigerator light after they finish doing the dishes. mack doesn’t have to look up from where he’s shaving in the mirror to hand will a towel when he steps out of the shower behind him, will doesn’t have to ask. they brush their teeth side by side, shoulders bumping, making faces at each other in the glass just to hear the other laugh. they giggle and roll around in the fresh sheets they just wrestled onto the bed together, and mack falls asleep to the thump thump thump of will’s heartbeat under his ear. they wake up in the mornings with their limbs tangled and their breath fanning across each other’s faces. the air in the room is cold but they keep each other warm.

he was drafted by the Oilers, 164th overall, in the 2018 draft. He stayed in college hockey for a bit before then playing for the Oilers' AHL team!

then at the NHL trade deadline in the 2022-23 season, he was traded to the Arizona Coyotes. He played one game with them before then being sent to play for their AHL team, the Tuscon Roadrunners, for a while.

he was one of my 2023-24 Yotes, being pretty consistently on the roster and playing really well as far as i remember! he was one of my favorites. he is a defenseman, and shoots right. he is NOT afraid to throw hands to stand up for himself and his teammates, and he has a personality!! he can also score a mean goal as well as be a good, tall, big-body defenseman.
